I am pretty certain that particular psalm is linked to what many regard as a miracle, if I remember the tale correctly there was I think a group of US soldiers of various denominations and some were Jewish, they had decided to share in a prayer they could all say and said this every day, the story as I recall (and it was a long time ago I heard it so forgive me if I have any fact's wrong in my recollection) was that this particular group of soldiers had seen some of the heaviest action fighting against Germany and did not lose a single man from all those that said this psalm every day.

I remember it because I used to say it every single morning along with psalm 23 and psalm 70 as well as the Lord's prayer.
