If this is true then how come people get the flu instead of liquified guts, which to me sounds like a pretty cool weapon! perhaps we are talking about two different scenarios here

This came up on the mega-thread. It is a story that was created on Reddit, I believe ,for one of their fiction sections. At some point someone even admitted to it being as such.
