Santa Clara County now has 3 cases and local high school has possible exposure

Got the ugly notice today that two kids in the Palo Alto Unified system were sent home as a precaution because parent has a confirmed exposure.

There are also now 3 cases with a confirmed community transmission of at least one with no overlap of the recent patient in Vacaville, CA. Its not my sons school but you never know. Right now, its still business as usual but they are decontaminating the Middle School and the High School the students attended. Its also unknown if they have quarantined the family in question.

I hope you don't mind having your state quarantined until this flu-like virus has run it's course.

California keeps submitting petitions to leave the United States, so we may as well use CoronaVirus to get the process started.

Im in San Joaquin valley east of San Francisco. There was a confirmed case of it here 3 weeks ago, in someone who just came back from Wuhan. They sent them home to self confine, after the positive results. Blocks from my house.

It is very contagious, I think most everyone on ATS will be exposed to it. I wish you all well. I will let you know when I have it, and ask for positive thoughts, and prayers from those who are able to pray, God be with us all, through this time of uncertainty

Because a few could become a lot, could lead to mass infections with an overwhelming of the medical system out there. That's the main danger.

If the cluster can be stopped at a few or kept to a trickle, then it'll be OK, but while it's there and they don't know how it's spreading, there are a lot of very, very nervous people in the emergency prep crews.

That's suspicious!

China didn't report anything about the virus until December, right around the time the whistle blower doctor died In the meantime, during October and November people were traveling to and from Wuhan regularly.

There have been zero CORVIN 19 tests done in Hawaii. Only around 200 done in California. Only around 450 done nation wide.

The parent of the two kids has a confirmed EXPOSURE not even confirmed case of the virus. I can’t help but feel that people are pushing the fear for reasons unknown. It’s getting stupid at this point. Have some extra water and groceries on hand and move on with your life.

Maybe but better stupid than unaware. The parent in question was in contact with a confirmed case according to news and given its communicability AND that they did not come forward rather they got narced out BY another family is way concerning

And Ill be honest its better than a political discussion at this point

How would “testing” change the mortality rate and protocols for anyone showing up at the hospital with a severe case of flu.

The problem is. Most people with Coronavirus 19 are not going to be sick enough to feel the need to go to the hospital the be tested.

Funny how nobody seems to care about the 300,000 to 500’000 that globally die each year from “normal” flu. Why don’t people give a crap about those yearly reoccurring deaths.
