What’s the point in listing all these cases if there are very few (currently zero) deaths?

How many confirmed deaths in the US?
The number of flu-related deaths more than doubled in California over the first two weeks of the new year, rising to 149 on Jan. 18 from 70 on Jan. 4, according to the latest report from the California Department of Public Health.
State public health officials noted that influenza activity remains high statewide and that the influenza B (Victoria) and the influenza A (H1N1)pdm09 viruses are both circulating widely in California. Strains of both viruses were included in this year’s flu vaccine.

The parent of the two kids has a confirmed EXPOSURE not even confirmed case of the virus. I can’t help but feel that people are pushing the fear for reasons unknown. It’s getting stupid at this point. Have some extra water and groceries on hand and move on with your life.

Rather than copy/paste the entire post, I will link you to my answer to another who asked the same question in part 4 of the highly informative Coronavirus update series of threads by Agit8dchop.
FredT, thank you for bringing this to our attention! Hope things remain under control in your neck of the woods. Sooner or later someone here at ATS will be exposed/become infected by 2019-nCov and then it will be all the more real for all of us.
