I think we've seen with the right treatment, it's not as dangerous as the typical flu that has already killed sixteen thousand people in the US this past year. So I think that type of information by the media above is propaganda meant to make people panic. Nothing more. Common sense precautions and isolating cases of it will go further than anything else in preventing it from becoming a more serious problem. Will markets get disrupted? Sure, stuff happens when large numbers of people get sick, and when your country's leadership is too weak to admit when they've screwed up and didn't handle it right to begin with bad things happen.

Then it's not a great one. How many westerners have been ill, how many have died? Pretty sure there are 0 deaths in the US so far.

So much contradictory info at the moment. Also the media reporting based on feelings and hysteria, less on facts and statistics.

The statistics to date do not bear out that conclusion in anyway shape or form.

Now I'm convinced that the Chicom government is outright lying about the true nature of the outbreak including deaths and numbers and there should be a ton of concern about the virus but based on more reliable statistics available from nations with infected individuals, its closer to the 2% than 20X more deadly than the flu.

The issue I have with this is that people should be talking about it, but in this day and age of social media the amount of fact checking is slim...... But clicky bait titles get the hits despite merit or lack thereof

So let's put that in perspective...

That is .00108% of the entire population infected.

Of those infected, that is a 3.4% mortality rate.

Of the entire population, that is .000036% that has died as a result.

Think about that for a second... do you have any idea how many other diseases, bacteria and virii kill more people?

More people die from Tetanus. Fires. Falling. Drowning. Poisoning. Measles. Car accidents. Diabetes. All of these kill more people than Covid. This is so hyped up, it's insane.

Treat it like the flu, and you'll be fine.

It is not a proper airborne virus unlike Resident evil. That why the world hasn't been that effected. It infects by touching though, that what makes it dangerous.

Why are most healthy people who catch it are saying it's like a mild flu?

Flu is like .5% and Covid19 is like 3%, so how do they get 20 times out of that?
