Who here is/was getting flu shot every year?

I have a friend who is always lecturing me on medical things, because his mother is a nurse and he has family in 'healthcare'. (A very wide field made up of a lot of different types of jobs)

Also he is not a scientist or a doctor himself and works in a gas station. But yes. He too knows things via other people, and he swears and declares that makes him more knowledgeable than anyone else.

He's quite often wrong with his info. (Coincidentally he doesn't subscribe to any medical conspiracies also. Because you know, he's a good boy who listens to his Mum)

I get the flu shot and sometimes the pneumonia shot.

I once called it the influenza shot and the doc said that was a different one.

Only once did it work, I think.

I was told my flu would've been worse if I didn't get the flu shot.

I don't know about that.

They felt pretty bad and lasted over two months.
