She was a mathematician to the end, she died in her prime.

It says in the article in your OP that she was black though she looks white. What percent of African do you have to be to be considered African American or "black"?

What constitutes being "black"?

Also why did they capitalize the b in black in the article?


Johnson was among a team of female Black mathematicians working for NASA...


I'm really curious what answers you guys come up with for these questions. And dont give me that "why make this a race thing dude, she is an old lady that served her country for many years".....I didnt make it a race thing, the article did. I'm questioning the claims of the article in the OP.
