In authoritarian, communist regimes, the government monitors what you make, what you have.

看來他們希望國家像其他共產主義國家一樣統治這裡

They’ll defend, up and down, an americans freedom to do whatsoever they desire. But then at the same time criticizing others governments for trying to practice self determination. How dare the people of Venezuela try a different financial and political system! They need bombed! How dare Iran accrue weapons to defend themselves! They need bombed! How dare China try to have a successful economy! They need bombed! Blah blah. Bunch of brainwashed, ignorant partisan hacks.

NO one dropped a bomb on Venezuela except for the Socialist bomb that Chavez dropped over a decade ago that took a thriving, rich country and turned into a failed state.

You have zero clue about anything that you come here and spew about. You are simply full of # and nasty too.

Very nice thought experiment. But if you bring up capitalism and not paint it in the correct light, you will get howls of complaint from here. Some will accuse you of being a commie and trying to take away their god given right to horde material objects. Some will accuse you of trying to remove personal freedom and say that if you restrict someone to 5 personal private jets instead of 20, somehow you are diminishing the right to life. I mean, if you couldn't chase that 7 & 8 digit wealth stat, no one would do anything anymore and our economy would implode.

I would maybe approach this through another means, maybe pay some attention to pexx421 and their ideas on leveling the playing field. You may have more success in looking at the system that allows such wealth accumulation and how it creates money out of thin air with no checks and balances as a starting point.

People just don't seem to understand the system making it possible to accumulate billions in wealth, makes us all poorer. Through fake fiat and instantly created money that make all previously produced wealth worth less through the beauty of inflation. People actually think their house doubling or tripling over 10 years is the property going up in value instead of their medium of exchange having less and less purchasing power.

no, my question is if you can reasonably do that with a billion dollars, or do you freaking need more

I think it's more the superrich that is of concern more than just the well off.

A million $$$$/££££, after all, is not what it once was.

The globe’s richest 1% own over half of our world’s wealth, shes larger than just the USA you see.

Take for instance the UK where the wealthiest 1% have seen their share increase to nearly a quarter of all the country's wealth, while the poorest half have less than 5%.

It's not up to me to say what someone needs to earn. It's not up to you either.

But you cannot even dream of having a thriving economy when you limit earning potential. The idea is preposterous.

the very idea spits in the face of individual freedom and equality and it's very much unconstitutional, why would we do such a thing when our position of an economic superpower isn't being threatened anytime in the foreseeable future.

why even suggest such socialist nonsense when most people in America (alnost 90%) are living well above poverty and doing just fine?

You've already admitted to supporting authoritarian ideology.

What more is there to say?

You're not a Constitution or a "freedom" type of person, obviously.

Have a nice day and enjoy the site.

Medicare for all!

And how much health care is too much? I mean, if you are 100 yrs old and need medical treatment shouldn't you just be sent home as you already lived long enough?

I think people should be free to make enough money for their desires, but left to it's own devices, people make more than even they would wish.

So how do you address that, or rephrase that, to the point that people actually contemplate the message instead of instantly seeing red?

How do you get this discussion away from the perception of killing personal rights to actually addressing the issue of massive wealth accumulation?

And it's up to your ideological regime to determine what their wishes should be.

Nope.

Have a nice day.
