Who LIkes Ice Cream???

No politics, No Viruses and Panic...just who likes Ice Cream???

We make our own, probably more than we should.

My favorite? Vanilla. Just love vanilla ice cream!

A close second for me would be Coconut ice cream, but the coconut has to be shredded really small and the ice cream made with some coconut milk.

What kind of Ice Cream do you like???

I never could turn down a good homemade ice cream. It's been forever since I've had any though. If I'm out and about, most times I'll end up with a variation on chocolate. If we're talking the cheapo soft-serve machine most places have, then I'll go choc/vanilla swirl.

There's a place in town that does gourmet ice cream, rotating seasonal flavors and stuff. They had a banging dark chocolate chili flavor, but there other flavors rock too. There was a roasted strawberry one that was totally awesome. We don't get down to the south half of town often, but it's a real treat when we do.

I like green tea ice cream also.

If we're talking DQ, then hook me up with a Heath Blizzard.

I'm a sucker for soft serve, but it has to be "ice cream" and not some kind of frozen yog-cat!

Love the stuff! Again, vanilla. Don't even need any chocolate fudge on it, just straight!

But, homemade is the BEST!!

We buy real vanilla beans and WOW!!!...it's off the rails good! Doesn't take much either.

I've tried huckleberry, blueberry, strawberry (which is nice) and countless variations of everything we grow or pick.

At the end of the day...

Vanilla ice cream.

There is something about a vanilla bean ice cream done right with not TOO much sugar but just enough that creates a weird sort of taste-gasm.

So yea... have to agree with you.

We won't even get started on root beer floats...

I make my own when I get the time, I did honeysuckle, nocciole and stracciatella flavored gelatos most recently.


I will be making a corona and orange fear flavored one next.

This got to be good after that corona beer.

Neapolitan, pistachio, coffee, blue moon, Superman.
Among other flavors.
Yes I like ice cream.

Blue Moon ice cream.

But homemade? Good old vanilla with sliced strawberry topping. Close second is sliced apple topping.

Used to be an ice cream parlor when I was a kid which served "Blue Moon". That was my favorite! Never did figure out what it tasted like exactly, ,but it was good! Didn't taste "Blue" and didn't taste "Moon"...so what was that stuff anyway???

Tasted kinda like banana sort of, or maybe bubble gum...or both.

Never mad that at home though. Didn't know what was in it!

Ice cream every night......almost any kind as long as Hershey chocolate on top. Of course home-made is best , but rare to find !

You cant talk ice cream without talking

Creme anglaise.

I remember making this in culinary school. It was my first test.

4 cups

500 milliliters while milk
1/2 vanilla bean, split/seeds scraped and reserved.
5 large egg yolks at room temperature
100 grams of sugar.

That is a classic jacques pepin creme anglaise.

I mean it’s just an infusion. Add citris/cinnamon/chocolate/coconut/coffee/dried fruits/liqueurs/nuts/prailine/vanilla.

French Vanilla, then Strawberry.

Oh, another one I had which is an all-time favorite, albeit very rare, was....

Guava Ice Cream!!

Vanilla for me, but it must be real, many tubs labelled as Vanilla are actually no real flavor.

Just need a cold iced bucket and a churner. Lots of cream, ingredients, vanilla and a few minutes of time.

With the new systems, the old rock salt way is dead. Just put the ingredients in, turn it on and in 20 minutes you have homemade ice cream!!

Ours is a Kitchen Aid.
