An Easy Breezy Cheesy Food Thread to Distract from WuFlu and Elections!

This morning I slapped together some bread dough with my three year old and I thought... why doesn't everyone make their own bread? Obviously, time is the issue and it's not practical.

Making bread is one of those things that I just can't imagine paying someone to do. Same goes with stock and broth; basic sausage meat for patties, pasta, or pizza; pasta sauces; taco seasoning or any spice blend; prepared salads; and probably a litany of other things.

What are some staples that you can't imagine paying someone to prepare for you, be it for quality reasons, frugality, basic common sense (for you)?

Do you make your own pasta... cheese... wine? I'd love to see it!

Seeing that you like making bread, have you ever seen the Korean Cheese Corn Dog? These things are awesome if you want to try them, this is the best recipe I have found for them.

I almost got fired from my last job after posting pics to this site. Owner freaked out, didn’t understand. So I deleted all my pics. He is a real sh*thead.

Im back baby. All those sausage pictures and charcuterie I posted were from dicksons farmstand meats. I am no longer employed there. Chefing at the place was sh*t because of the owner. Too much oversight, one too many thumbs in the pie.
