Good morning all my friends here on Above Top Secret. (Tokyo time 8:20 am 2-7-2020 ) I've just got a big "Applause" from one of the moderators here
on the forum. Thank you moderator. Although it wasn't necessary, I just enjoy being part of ATS and sharing what little I know or find out on about
this thread.
I want to thank every one that is pitching in on the Corona Virus threads. I know we have an international crowd here and we get to have minute by
minute updates on this situation that truly is affecting how peoples lives are at the present time. I really feel by reading most threads ( currently
I'm behind on them, so please excuse me if you see double post) that this ATS is the most reliable to even get your neighborhood news on. I sincerely
mean this. And this is someone that lives an ocean away from my youth.
As mention in my post, I won't post "rumors or BS" about this current situation now facing uncertainty on a "WORLDWIDE SCALE". As we all know now,
many travel bans are in place and there is a very good reason.
Japan , a few hours ago refused the cruise liner from Hong Kong to port here in Japan. Common sense is setting in. I really strongly urge anyone to
support their govt. when you see they are using common sense to protect their citizens. If not, well... I don't actually have the right words to say
at the moment since I leave anger out of my heart.
I mentioned on a thread about them masks everyone is panicking to buy on a worldwide scale. Please consult with someone in the medical field about
them. I have left something out in my post about them and there is a reason why.
Its a known fact that these mask are made for the spring pollen in the air and those that have colds and other ailments .
Also according to the specialist, the particles (sorry, don't know the word) that are air borne land on surfaces everywhere.
That is a fact. Those infected and with a couigh , their spray goes out to 3 meters , that is like 10 feet. That can cover a lot of space.
Public toilets. I let those that know about body to body transmissions chime in on this one, but for all seriousness, never mind, I want to say away
from this subject. (but the cruise ships is what really brought my attention to this subject)
This is most import.
Please wash your hands for 20 minutes after returning from outside
Please wear one of them mask if you have a cold
2-7-2020 I don't have this mornings update for Japan or any other breaking news as of now. But will post later.
Please keep in mind regardless of what you know or find out is that: China is still in the greatest threat stage (outbreak ) at this time. SO PLEASE
DON'T PANIC
Should you prepare them cupboards? These are personal questions you SHOULD be asking yourself. I say this because of the long lines of people here
trying to buy face mask, only to find out "sold out". The thing is, you can't eat or drink them, but for the most part, yes, you can wash them and
reuse if necessary.
This country is NOT in panic mode at all. Which is nice. There are travel advisories out and yes, plane routes to and from areas are being
cancelled.
Here are my links for those that haven't read them.

Here is there latest on the Corona Virus
Health Alert - U.S. Embassy Tokyo, Japan (January 23, 2020)
Location: East Asia (China)
Event: Coronavirus Outbreak in China
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is closely monitoring an outbreak of a respiratory illness caused by the coronavirus that
was first detected in Wuhan, China.
A number of countries, including the United States, have been actively screening incoming travelers from Wuhan and human infections with 2019-nCoV
have been confirmed in Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea. The United States announced its first infection with 2019-nCoV detected in a traveler
returning from Wuhan on January 21, 2020.
For information and guidance regarding this disease outbreak, U.S. citizens in Japan are advised to consult the World Health Organization (WHO) and
CDC websites. Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare is also closely monitoring the situation. The WHO provides country-specific disease
outbreak news, including information about Japan.
Actions to Take: CDC recommendations include frequent thorough hand washing and cough etiquette (maintain distance, cover coughs and sneezes with
disposable tissues or clothing, and wash hands).
Additionally, ensure you have had an influenza immunization this season to minimize the chances of getting flu that may mimic coronavirus
infection.
For the most up-to-date information, please consult the CDC website (
www.cdc.gov...).
