Well, that sucks. Never cared for the man's opinions, but wish him the best and a hopeful recovery.

Cancer doesn't play. :/

I'm sad to hear this. I don't listen much to Rush, but the few occasions I do, I know he and I think along the same wavelength. I also find him to be fairly humorous. He's a sharp cookie, and my son loves his books (the history series for kids, especially Liberty).

I wish him the best and I'll be praying. Cancer is kind to no one and doesn't care what your political beliefs are.

Nah, we won't see too much venom until he dies. I cringe thinking about that day.

That’s a shame.

I always loved listening to Rush’s take on things. Best wishes for Rush and his family.

Hate Limbaugh with a burning passion, but would never wish this diagnosis on anyone. He's in for some very difficult days. Hope he can get some good treatment to kick it in the butt.

I really hope not. The guy seems to be light hearted most of the time. I don't here him get riled up that much or expell vitriol. Sure he'll speak tongue and cheek some times, but if say it's vastly in humor like you said, and he is rather funny.

He's a convicted induvidual, and his brand has never rubbed me the wrong way. I admire conviction if one means well and carries themselves with dignity.

I rarely am on the same wavelength as him most of the time... But I don't find it hard to admire he is self made, and took himself to where he's at now.

I'll find a way to sympathize with any human going through this. Like other members have said, I too have someone very important to me going through this... And as corny as those mugs are that say "to the world I'm just a mom/dad, but to my kids I'm the world", I get it.

We're all human, and unless you're a true dictator or war lord, I say everyone gets a pass in times like this. Let the waters cool and find a way after a tactful time to be critical of people you disagree with.

Came on suddenly without any hoarseness or coughing. It could be that the Deep state is responsible... as Chuck Schumer alluded to.

Sad to hear. Not a big listener of his. Wish him the best. He is in for a rough battle.

Unfortunate that he has not groomed a replacement, as he is irreplaceable.

I wish him the best and will be rooting for him.

He chain-smokes cigars which, along with pipe tobacco, should not be inhaled. People do it anyway.

😕

I was gonna ask if he is a smoker / former smoker. My brothers a big fan and a smoker too, I hope this inspires him to quit, as well as anyone else reading this that's thinking about quitting too. Do it!

I did, 20-1/2 years quit. It's hard, but worth the effort. Your family will be so happy, and you'll be giving yourself a whopping salary increase!

Just quit. You can do it!

I hate to hear this.
Rush was my first introduction to politics when I was 9 or 10 years old. I was transfixed, glued to the radio. I had never heard anyone like him and, all these years later, I still haven't. Even at a young age, I understood that he was unique and was saying things that other people weren't.

I don't always agree with him but have frequently checked in to hear his thoughts over the past 30 years. His analysis has always been a cut above the rest. He has meant more to the conservative movement than any one politician could. He truly is irreplaceable.

Or the fact that he was a heavy smoker.

Across the Atlantic, many of us know little to nothing about this man over the decades, aside from a general perception of his reputation as a small-minded, blatant racist who represents the very worst of America.

I think it was Bill Hicks who first painted a major picture of Limbaugh's character when Hicks became hugely successful in the UK during the early-90s, shortly before his own death from cancer.

I've never listened to Limbaugh to judge for myself, but NOBODY deserves #ing Cancer.

Rush certainly perked up the ears of the Silent Majority and gave them voice. He wasn't a politician so people felt they could trust him; long before the Fox News personalities.

I had the pleasure of meeting him in a quiet social setting many years ago. He was quite handsome and so intelligent and asked questions and listened. I was so impressed.

This is certainly a sad day for many of us who welcomed a refreshing intelligent voice in the messy, dirty world of politics.

Not with his formerly nicotine stained fingers.

He quit years ago.

I hate Cancer.

We are making progress...

Don't believe all you hear.

He's not politically correct, but if that makes you a bigoted racist, then most of the US is comprised of bigoted racists.

That sucks. I used to listen to El Rushbo every day during my lunch hour. I called in a time or two to argue with him as well. I hope he digs deep and whoops cancers ass.

Very sad news...anyone who gets this awful disease. I watched my father be consumed by lung cancer, literally ,as it matasticized to his bones, liver and brain...his pain was immense.

I don't wish it on anyone.

I watched my brother,

I know what you mean, but realistically, none of us on this earth has a true replacement.

I relapsed about a hundred times, but finally succeeded in the early 2000's.

It. Is. Hard.

Especially with quality cigars and pipe tobaccos.
