If so, it is 100% deserved and justified. I just wish we'd have used a stronger but shorter acting agent.

The 14 day incubation is highly unusual for this kind of thing.

They are fools if they think their treachery will go unpunished. And I hope they know millions of Americans are cheering on the major domestic problems there having. I'm just sad it's affecting this country somewhat although seeing as we have real doctors, real governments and original thinkers at work I'm not alarmed

Looking forward to watching this cripple their already strained economy, civil infrastructure and general existence though.

Couldn't have happened to a "better" group of people. However, sadly, I suspect this is simply a result of communism's ineffeciency combined with an inept response (communism=all feel good lies never actual solutions)

There is no way this isn't connected.

It would stand to reason then, that this is where they research possible vaccines too.

I have a feeling that this virus is a lot worse than the Chinese Government is letting on and they may have been trying to smuggle out a possible cure to save face and tell everyone they got it under control...

China isn't really one of those nations that likes to ask for help from the west.

I can totally see them stealing research into vaccines instead of lowering themselves to ask for assistance in something really big.

There are antiseptic (virucidal) agents which can be used to "kill" the virus minutes to hours after contact, it is very unhealthy and comes with trouble but in an event of extreme pandemia, i would rather inhale (lungs are the main target for this virus) this on a regular base instead of getting infected.

Luckily i got two types of merely virucidal agents which are (almost) harmless if inhaled, not gonna name it (insurance? x) but hey, teh end is coming, i gonna cough!

So far im not inhaling any of it but once it would spread around my area i might consider carrying it all the time to inhale once a suspicious situation comes up (like contact with people, ewww~)

They aren't telling us that. The person who attempted to smuggle was working for the Chinese Miltary/Intelligence. I imagine the actual substance information is highly classified.

I was just on my commute to work and heard an interview on NPR with Luciana Borio, Vice President at In-Q-Tel. If you don't know anything about this company, google it. That's a rabbit hole in itself. The company's sole purpose is investment in upcoming tech companies in order to keep the CIA and other intelligence agencies relevent with the latest IT technology.

Very interesting choice of interviewee.... But what I did learn is that currently CDC is mildly overwhelmed with diagnostic testing for US cases of 2019-nCov alone. Around 100 potential cases if I remember correctly. Current procedure for medical professionals is to take a series of samples and ship them to CDC for testing. This testing can take over 3 days to complete. That is WAY TOO SLOW. Now imagine that the Chinese procedure is similar at best. That would mean their diagnostic system is COMPLETELY overwhelmed and cases are likely HUGELY under reported because they just don't have the capacity to complete testing for positive results. In order to keep the whole machine moving, they move bodies out, skip diagnostic (or send in for test results but hear nothing back), and send bodies in for cremation. I think its comfortable to say that all of these Suspected cases are actual cases because of the backlog of diagnostics.

Scary $h!T.

Not saying anything said in the interview is untrue but it should taken with a large spoonful of salt.

I guess I should have clarified that the only thing that was in the interview that I mentioned was the CDC being overwhelmed by potential cases. The rest of my statement was my own speculation.
