Isn’t this the same place that thinks it’s ok to kill people to acquire their farm land?

So, maybe we should cut all American aid to South Africa till these people learn to shut up. The people there will revolt against these jerks trying to disrupt the peace in their country. If they ask us nicely, we will target and destroy these people that are trying to force their people into submission.
Your country has no right to anything in their country.
That is what being a sovereign country means.
Most of the money for humanitarian aid goes into the pockets of people providing the medicines and food to the people. Teaching these people how to more successfully provide for themselves is much better and it actually lowers their dependance on the USA. I know our government wants these people dependent on us to survive, but it doesn't have to be that way. Africa has water under the ground, we could drill many wells to help them instead of supplying them with bottled water, which I see in many of the ads they have out there of help being given to these people.
Military action against people of differing views to your country, in another country, is an act of war.
Yeah, we should not be interfering, we should also not be giving them one stich of aid. Right now, the Brits seem to control a lot of that country, our presence there is to assist the Brits be secure. The Brits do not belong there either. If these people need food, we should supply them with seeds and maybe drill them some wells, not hand them food that makes suppliers rich. Educate the people to take care of themselves. Right now, the aid actually benefits the government more than it benefits the people of that country.
I thoroughly agree that the humanitarian aid should be distributed in a way that fairly gets it to those in need, rather than any group that is trying to use it as a tool for control. I don't however, think that such aid should be stopped.
I do think that a military presence is NOT called for. American troops should defend it's own borders, not its far-flung money making interests.

Africa has water under the ground, we could drill many wells to help them instead of supplying them with bottled water, which I see in many of the ads they have out there that are trying to get donations for helping the people in Africa. I watched a video on PBS and the woman said that helping these people get started is way better than us sending them a bunch of highly processed foods. She said that they drill wells for the people but money for that is scarce and it would be nice if we could help them help themselves. Also a few of the wells they did drill, were poisoned by some of the bad people there, causing a lot of problems. The terrorist groups do not want the people to be independent either, they want them to fear them.
Our presence is needed there to wipe out the bad groups of people that are making their people's lifes miserable. I think it should be an international venture though, not just Americans. Not all the people ruling the African countries are bad, but there are some and there are many groups that want to take over these countries and make the people bow down to them. We cannot allow that to happen. To do so would be inhumane.

Oh by the way, the protestors chanting this slogan demand a response to the memorandum they handed into the US embassy last Thursday within 7 working days.
twitter.com...
Ooh, I can't wait to see what response they are going to get.
I'm so excited, I'm not going to sleep a wink till then!

I just checked and it appears that there are areas of Africa, just as there are here, that have elevated arsenic levels. But they could still use those wells to water their fields.
They also could test the wells. There is arsenic around here, it is present in small amounts in all wells, but also in our water supply to the cities here. Arsenic can be removed from the body with onions or garlic, so incorporating those into the diet help. But if the people have not evolved with the sulfur food chemistries in the allum family, it might cause some problems.
Have you ever drank a bottle of water that has sat in the hot for a while, it tastes like plastic. It is definitely not good to be drinking bottled water either.
Booley led the crowd in chanting “Allahu Akbar” as embassy employees watched from a distance.

That makes the crops poisoned, too.
Some arsenides incorporate into the leaves, stems flowers and fruits of some plants. Some arsenides also poison and inhibit plant growths and yields. Knowing what to do, in what case, itself is an issue in communities where there are subsistence farmers.
In any case, it makes sense to not water or wash plant products in toxin affected or high mineral salt water.
There are bulk filtering methods, some sustainable, which allow the purity of water to be assured and these things should be part of a systematic approach to water.

While I agree that some plastics, especially those softened with pthalates, should not be used for drinking water storage, there are some with high chemical and physical stability, such as Polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

Arsenic is only taken into certain plants. Mostly stuff like Rice, asparagus, ferns, and to a smaller extent in some sulfur foods like broccoli and cabbage. But the broccoli and cabbage has some protective chemistry, while asparagus ferns, and rice don't. Apple seeds will concentrate arsenic, but we usually do not eat the seeds, so do some of the other fruits in their seeds.
I did quite a bit of research on arsenic being taken up by plants. and where it accumulates in the plants.
You can remove arsenic from the soil by planting ferns, then cut the ferns and haul them away and it pulls the arsenic out of the soil but relocates it to where you put the ferns.
Only a few types of plants grow around gold, the field it generates kills most plants but lets a couple types grow. I learned to identify the plants, but do not remember their names. That information made many people prestigious and rich through the centuries. With a little research I even found out how it actually works, seems that some physicists know about this too.
