I first met her at a bar many years ago. She was by far the most beautiful girl in the joint. So I worked up the courage and took a shot then asked her if I could buy her a drink. She said yes! A few days later we got together for some coffee and kicked it off. She was the most stunning girl I have ever seen or ever had the pleasure of meeting.
We went to the zoo and to watch musicals almost every weekend. Then my job had me move to Vegas.

This is my my online tribute to Abby. I will dearly miss you with all my heart. Never forget how much we all will.
RIP Abby

Leaving love for a job seems like a terrible choice.

Was it just money? If so...that sucks man. And just speaks to my current disenchantment with life...

Ha! Sorry...

This explains a lot. She probably thought you were gay.

If you're lucky enough to find love, nothing should tear youz apart. Not even a job

Pretty distasteful considering she committed suicide.
Also I wanted the zoo and as compromise she wanted the other.

Damn. Sorry to hear that.

How long since you had seen her, and did you keep in touch after you moved?

Hence the saying, if you're going to be a smart ass, make sure you're smart otherwise you're just an ass.

How so? Method of death doesn't have any relevance on the quip he made, since you never mentioned it. And on the off-chance he'd hit the mark & she really did think you were gay, how the hell would a method of death years later be relevant to what she thought years earlier anyway?

Sorry you've lost someone, but it's pretty crass to use the method of death to try to gain an upper hand.

Regardless of how a person has died, it's pretty FN distasteful to insult someone, even in jest, when that person is mourning another, one they love.

That is crass.

Long time lurker, this thread has peaked my attention.

I just started seeing the most beautiful woman I ever met also called Abby (spelt the same way, kinda rare in the UK). Have totally fallen in love with her and she feels the same. Have had a few relationship breakdowns and am determined to make this one work.

Sorry to hear of your loss, RIP Abby.
