Hi guys - long time ATS lurker, been following this thread since the start and it caused my to finally make an account. Just want to add my two cents - while tuberculosis has been more or less eliminated in the Western world and its quite treatable, it is still endemic in other parts of the world. India has the #1 highest amount of cases, China is #2. I wonder if there is a co-mordbidity between TB and 2019-nCOV that would cause the higher death rates in China compared to what has been seen elsewhere. Like others, I've been perplexed by this, I would have thought things outside of China would have been getting worse.

Cautiously waiting and seeing and giving my prep supplies a thorough audit.

Suspicious. But possibly good.

There were reports in this thread that all of the ones in Germany were very mild, with some being asymptomatic.

But the most telling thing is, no deaths, and no reports of anyone hospitalized with complications, only for 'observational purposes'.

It's on page 216 of this thread - the link to the paper. They stated an R0 of 4.08, and fatality rate of 6.5%

So in less than a month it went from 270 to 10,000 infected, but still not something to truly worry about well until it mutates into something more deadly and quicker transmissions. The Flu last year was like 43 million infected with 61,000 deaths or 1.42% chance to die. Right now the Coronavirus is about 2.06%.

Not one, single non-native chinese person has even gotten extremely sick from this thing, let alone died.

Tbh I reckon the source it’s Dr. Bob (I’m a celebrity get me outta here), he’s been out the in Australia telling b list celebs it’s safe to eat ass and bats and such and telling them “it’s perfectly safe, as long as you chew well before you swallow”, maybe he got fed up dealing with devas all this time 😂😂😂

You still would not impact your country AND your economy for just over 2% death rate. Sorry, not buying that. Didn’t do it for SARS. There is something else here, something we are missing.

Maybe the lab doesn’t know exactly what got out and the information given to the CCP was far more doomsday scenario. Whatever the truth the Chinese are acting like this is the ultimate big deal. You could not do much more if it were bubonic plague.

There's a reason they exert so much control even over here, and it's because they want to control the spread of information and influence without becoming North Korea in terms of isolation.

I think there are serious problems afoot if he is in danger there without mask.

This disease has a much higher morbidity rate than SARS, it’s getting people sick for days, weeks. We are beginning to see strain on the system (in China) stemming from a very large number of sick people who already have underlying health conditions.

Even the male who recovered in Washington was down for 2 weeks from this thing, he could still function but he was using hospital resources.

Multiply that by millions over weeks or months and any healthcare system would be brought to its knees.

They’re not trying to save people, they’re trying to mitigate spread and damage to the state image and it’s economy. Their trade agreements and deals depend on it.
