I don't know if that has been posted yet

7,000 people are quarantined on a cruise ship off Italy as Chinese couple on board are tested for coronavirus

Dailymail

It is said the wife fell ill. Can you imagine how terrified those on board must be?

About the cruise ship currently under quarantine in Italy,
Local press reports that they talked to a Dutch man on board.
He said that they are not officially informed about a possible virus infection. This morning the captain announced a sanitary inspection on board of the ship.
The following hours the passengers had their updates through the media and when family started to call them on their phones.
He says there are 800 Chinese people on board. They didn't get any further information other then that they weren't allowed to leave the ship.
So far there is no panic on board and people are just enjoying the sun on the balconies.

You are forward thinking, and that is refreshing. I am trying to do the same.

I work in a hospital; so, when this virus turns up in my community, the first symptomatic patients will arrive where I work. I have already stopped walking through the waiting room, but that won't help very much after hospital staff become infected. I imagine that the hospital would put all of us (employees) under strict protocol. I personally will set up a sleeping cot in my office at that time, and will not go home, because my wife and one of my children have diabetes, and would have higher than usual chances of death potentially. If I infected them, and they died, I would not forgive myself. You could call that 'self imposed' quarantine. If I become symptomatic, I would not want to stay at the hospital to infect others here. Would I try to get a hotel room, instead of going home to my family? But then what about the hotel workers - who I would not want to expose either? Maybe I will choose to live in the detached garage at my home. Who knows what will be best?

So ... what to do? At least there is time to plan for the worst, while still hoping it can be avoided.

Our bodies run on sugar, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have evolved to slowly die from its primary fuel.

No. Primary fuel is glucose. Glucose is not 'sugar' as that term is used herein (white table sugar).

Secondary fuel is ketones.

There are areas that sugars could bind to on the outer layer of the virus. It makes the body think it’s naturally occurring until the immune cells recognize it as a threat.

Note: I didn't say the premise for the treatment was invalid, I merely pointed out that the antibacterial/antiviral properties of table sugar have been known for a very long time, so this was not a new 'discovery'.

Also just got an email that N95 masks are unavailable until further notice at work, if they are needed, use positive air pressure respirators.

Or get a nebulizer and high quality pure oregano oil and breathe it a few times per day at the first signs of symptoms. Works great for regular colds/flu too.

Canada is reporting the BC case is confirmed. CBC

Also, that it will be a year before a vaccination is ready.

Less interested in a vaccine for this than I am the flue vaccine, and I have zero interest in ever getting that poison injected into my body.

I'll stick with my natural anti-bac/virals like oregano oil, and mega dose IV vit C...

I live in Phoenix.. theres a Corona case here..

And theres plenty of P100 masks on the shelves... better than the surgical masks imho, sure theyre like 16-20 but they make more sense to me

And they will work even better if you spray a mist of oregano oil on the outside before use.

Reliable? Hell no. Conservative, UK Right-biased, Propaganda, Conspiracy, some Fake News. Similar to the tabloids.
Whatever interesting article you find there back it up with a more reliable source.

Like what? CNN?

This is the first person I have heard about dying from it outside of China. [EDIT: 22 yrs old]

Nationality? If they were a Chinese native, then it doesn't change anything, although sorry to hear of another soul being lost to this thing.

I guess I’m so used to work every time I see the word sugar I think inside the body. We were all using the word differently, no worries. Table sugar does act like a preservative, I get what you were saying earlier.

Unfortunately I don’t think our environmental health and safety department has signed off on oregano oil for our BSL3 work. N95s are too hot to wear anyways, I rarely use them, because if we drop or break anything there’s not enough air flow changes an hour to keep us safe so we have to leave and clean up.

Glucose is sugar,

Glucose is a sugar.

In common parlance, when you say 'sugar' people automatically ass-u-me you mean white refined table sugar.

So, no, glucose is not sugar, in normal parlance.

if you diabetic and need boost your glucose levels you eat carbohydrates ( carbs include sugar ) which turns in your system to glucose ).

If you're diabetic you need to stop eating sugars and start learning about fasting, especially intermittent fasting and short 'extended fasts' (2-4 days) to engage autophagy to cleanse, detox, and re-balance your metabolism to eliminate the diabetes. If you are Type I and have serious pancreas issues, this may not work as well for you, but it will still help immensely.

Glucose is also in grapes.

True, but there is more fructose - one of the really bad sugars - than glucose.

Glucose is a simple sugar though

and is the most abundant sugar available

It's what your cells eat - not sucrose.

You did say in your previous post that Glucos is what your body runs on , not sugar

but Glucose is the simplest sugar known to man and your body uses it for everything

Sorry to nitpick

I don't know why we're going off topic to talk about sugar.

Your cells run on glucose. Sucrose is 50% glucose, 50% fructose.

Fructose is poisonous to humans, the only organ that can process it is you liver, and it turns it into liver fat - which is why kids who guzzle soda all day have livers down to their knees.

Glucose is a form of sugar, but it isn't sugar (sucrose) that your cells burn, it's glucose, your liver needs to split the sucrose into glucose and fructose.

Hypoglycemia needs boosting up sugarlevel.. sorry not all diabetics are type 2 what you are referring to. Everyone who is with insulin can have lows no matter are you type 1 or 2 and with hypoglycemia speed is they key. Glucagon can be injected too when having hypoglycemia it releases glucose from your own liver to your bloodstream( liver is a sugar storage in our system)

BTW never recommend that to anyone who is with insulin care, type 1 get cetoacidosis which might kill them.

I understand and clarified the difference in prior post, but intelligently engaging in IF/Autophagy can still be hugely beneficial for Type I's by re-balancing the metabolism and eliminating insulin resistance, and long term, may even cure it too. The liver is easily capable of 'spontaneous regeneration', so why not the pancreas/islets of langerhorns?

If I worked in any other profession than medicine, I would stop going to work, but I am going to keep my Hippocratic oath. I would rather do that, than to become a hypocrite myself.
