Avacados are rich in essential amino acids, vitamin, and saturated suffering.

I always ask for my guac with extra anguish and exploitation.

A vegetarian is someone who I could believe likes animals and hence doesn't want them to die [even though there are other animal predators out there that will happily bite through a juicy chicken's neck or start eating a cow back to front] But yeah, if they feel better, fine.
A Vegan hates animals.
Yes, I let that sink in.

They don't even eat stuff that comes form living, happy animals. Free range cows give lovely milk that can be made into lovely cheese and the cows don't have to be put down because we can't just keep cows as pets. There are millions of them, somehow they need to earn their keep. That's life.
With only vegetarians around, some cows can still live. But not if everyone is a vegan.

Do vegans find animal produce disgusting? I mean eggs [especially unfertilized ones] are delicious. Chickens can't even help themselves laying them. So vegans come along and suddenly say: "Chicken, you disgust me with your eggs'.
Son in a world full of vegans, the chickens have to go as well. Mostly because they are of not much use otherwise.

Veganism is one step too far into a not too bad direction. Many animals would have to die [unused and unappreciated] just so that vegans can feel better. Nah. You hate animals. I love them. Both alive and happy and also as a good meal. Like my cat, I have no qualms as long as they live happy and die quickly.

Vegans hate animals.

I am a carnivore which means that I eat meat!
I like to eat fish, chicken, turkey and beef!

Right on!

I eat bugs too.

Fact is....we live in a world where hypocricy is part of the human condition.

There is NOBODY who could cast the first stone.

😂.. I guess that’s what happens in a town where they don’t have much else to do for sh*ts and giggles.

You are not calling me self-righteous, are you?

Wild animals work on instinct. They have no choice - humans do.

Yes, I am calling you self-righteous.

You only have a choice because food is so plentiful that you can delude yourself into thinking you don't have to eat meat to survive.

We are wired to eat meat. Humans are omnivores.

Like I said, I could careless what kind of dietary restrictions you choose. Just don't throw it in our face because I enjoy a bloody ribeye slathered with butter and pepper. I can just smell that charred flesh. My mouth is watering as I type.

Plus child labor has gentle hands. Doesn't bruise the flesh of the avacados as much.

I just can't wait till we can use all land for vegan diets. After we get rid of all the natural habitats... There won't be any animals left to exploit.

Except for the ones that live in the crops... The machinery will mince those up so they can fertilize the soil.

Not surprised, they anthropomorphized the animal which typically doesn't happen to ones that become food.

I wish I could understand the psychology behind that!

There's no getting around it. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.

Meat is more calorie dense. If we nixxed it, we'd be using extra resources to distribute less dense foods. Not only that, we'd rely on and exploit equator nations for their crops when ours aren't in season. We'd also decimate biodiversity in the plant realm to make room for edible crops... Who knows what those ramifications would be on such a scale.

We could go on and on. At the end of the day, we live in an imperfect world that still has a hierarchy of life, and we're at the top.

You are bitter and extremely rude and it's completely uncalled for.
No where in MY post did request that anyone "Accept" my dietary choices and no where in my post did I throw ANYTHING in any-ones face! Please, show me legitimate scientific proof that we are "wired to eat meat" or that a human can't survive and be healthy on a non-meat diet. How dare you judge me based on an on-line post. I suggest that you double your dose and go back to sleep! Please, spare me your own angry opinion on the matter. Jerk!

Yup, I understand this for sure.
I think people eat to many calories anyway haha! And it's better to eat seasonably
that's my opinion but I know that would never happen.

Very true that people eat too many calories... And ideally I'd like to see our economy go back to locally sourcing agriculture.

It's by far a better model, and healthier for the economy, producers, and consumers. Eating what's natural to your area helps your body cope with the environment. Its also argued people are less inclined to have allergies if they eat local produce.

I just don't see it happening which is a shame.

One day I want to have an organic farm... Partly because I think I'd enjoy it, and I also think there is going to be a juciy market one day for natural non gmo goods that have been rotated properly, tastes better, are healthier, and are more mindful to the soil than spraying it with chemical fertilizer.

We'll see if that dream comes to fruition (pun intended).

I'll probably have Livestock too. But I'll raise them with love and care, and they'll have a good life till they don't. Some may see that as contradictory, but I'm a big believer in nuance.

Yes, you think a lot like I do.

That's reason why that turkey story bothered me. It's not about people eating a turkey - to each their own. It's about people just being numb. I mean dozens of people-robots walking on that conveyor belt.... I don't even know how to really explain it. Like for F-sake research something, look up some actual information and form an individual opinion.

I swear it's like writing a check to Dana Farber to fight cancer while you're lighting up a Marb. Red. It just makes no sense!

I don't have a problem with people raising animals ethically with love and then extinguishing them for the meat or the hide. It's companies like FairLife, who beat baby calves and think it's funny when they cry for their momma's and it's companies like Perdue who employee x-cons who think it's funny to kick and stomp on baby-chicks and many of the other large scale factory farms... I don't care how much anyone wants to joke around about steak - if the kind of animal abuse that goes on in these places and even on some private farms doesn't hurt to the core in my opinion you're not even human. (not talking about you personally)

Anyway, blah, blah, blah I could go on forever.

Yes I like the garden ideas. I have been working on mine for years and am getting there!

When I was very young, my father took me to the top of a high hill and told me that one day I would rule all that the light touches. He then explained how carnivores work in harmony with the land to maintain a balance in the ecosystem. He called this process "The Circle of Life".

That would be nice...

I own and lease out 180 acres in Texas. I get offers from "factory farms" almost daily wanting to buy my place. Sorry, when the price is right, I'm selling out and investing in 420 processing equipment; Texas is anti hemp.... Capitalism in action, fluid, exciting and American as Apple pie and pizza!!!

It's astonishing how often I get called a commie socialist on ATS.

Really great points Skorpiogirl ! Horrendous abusive treatment of animals in any situation, anywhere in the world needs to stop. There are more humane ways of killing them, and they do need protection from the cruel malicious types who inflict pain for the giggles on these food farms.

Damn this world is depressing..

Care to actually explain why you think so? At least I gave you my reasons for my belief. All you gave me is an empty insult. I therefore guess I was either spot on or I was totally right in my opinion or you would be able to explain.

Vegans hate animals. Vegans eat the food that animals need to survive. Vegans find animals disgusting and won't even eat their produce. Vegans want millions of animals culled and do not care at all about that, just so they can feel righteous. Vegans only exist in countries where they never had to starve and have been mollycoddled so much that their bored brains want to find something special about them.
Vegans preach and hate. Do what you want by why do you have to preach and hate?
All the above are facts, either observed by me directly or stemming from understanding how things in real life work.

With all that said, please explain yourself without insult if possible. Here is your chance.
