By asking for Witnesses now they are violating the rules that Mitch McConnell has laid out. The arguments for Witnesses are not supposed to occur until after both sides have presented their case. That will be in 6 days.

Democrats said before sending the Impeachment articles to the Senate that they had built a "very strong case".

They didn't force any subpoenas, because "no additional evidence is needed"
