Having all eyes in the social media sphere focused on Virginia its likely nothing violent will occur. A few Antifa types may get slapped to pavement.
Virginia has got be the worst state for any wackos to plan anything violent, given the state has ~27 military bases. Every single service branch has at least one base in VA including every single US intel agency known to man.

Putting the protesters in that fenced in area is like putting fish in a barrel. Pretty dumb.

I don't think any ff will happen. If anything dumb people from both sides will start small fights with each other.

But I do think a fenced in protest area is ridiculous and anyone that goes along with that is a sheep.
Protesting is effective when the citizens do it the way they choose.
Protesting is about showing the power that the masses actually have in their numbers.
Being in a cage or fenced area takes that image of power away.

I hope they don't actually stay inside those government designated areas. I don't recall the women's march protest that recently happened having to stand in a cage. Why? Because those women wouldn't go for that and the government knows that. The cops can't be seen shoving white women back behind fences if those women choose to stand somewhere else.

Can they do it to pro gun supporters and get away with it?
Are there really more gun law wanting people in this country?

It's a test . So the military can be sure they can jam the gps of an enemy.

But if you look at the area that is going to be jammed you will see that the protest area is at the far outer edge of it.
This jamming and the protest have nothing to do with each other imo.

It's groups within the two parties that are the main reason for the division in this country right now.

The jamming system they're using creates an interesting shadow. It looks like an upside down wedding cake, with each "layer" being higher the farther out you go. Below each layer, you don't even notice it. The inner layer closest to the jammer affects an altitude around 50 feet. By the time you're at the edges, the jamming layer is around 40,000 feet. I've driven through some of these exercises and my GPS didn't even blink.

i think there's some kind of inverse causal law that the more such an attack is anticipated and speculated about, the less likely it is to happen.

Doesn't help that an NBC journalist called this rally a "white nationalist" rally in a tweet, that he has since deleted.

Nice way to stir up trouble before the event.

I've just seen that the FBI, (I think) have arrested a Nazi supremacist, no other info yet....but I think it's related.

The only thing missing is the loser KKK group.

I lived there at the time and it really pissed me off since the whole mess was caused by people that were not from C'ville.

I was a few hundred yards away on the downtown mall when it happened. I didn't see anything, but heard the commotion and went over to check it out briefly before heading into a bar/restaurant to get away from all the hoopla.

Save yourself the headache Zaph. You've tried to explain that these exercises take place on the west coast regularly. China lake was the last one I remember.
