I read somewhere those can be a sign of your body needing something that food has. The trick is to find a healthier food that has the thing you're needing.
I have no idea what Jell-O might be except that Jell-O is made of collagen basically.

I had a cat that had pica and OCD. She wanted to eat anything that was out of place to hide it. Like if I tossed some pocket change on the end table and a coin ended up on the floor I had to get to it before she did. A button down shirt that was buttoned up was okay. Unbuttoned meant that buttons were only on one side so she had to remove them.

Here in the past couple years I have had some odd cravings. Jello, Tapioca pudding and Tang just to name a few. The only one I relented on was canned fruit cocktail and mini marshmallows a year or so ago. Hot chocolate hits the list now and then but I don’t actually like to drink it, neither made with milk or water.
Right now, Jello is topping that list pretty hard. Which is strange because I am sure I have not ate any in 30-35 years or so. It will pass eventually. But surely I am not alone on such odd cravings for things that I don’t particularly like nor hate exactly, but just have not had in years that honestly don’t taste exceptionally great to cause such an urgent desire to consume.

Tapioca pudding, man i could eat a gallon of that stuff.
I get cravings for olives a lot. And spicy hot foods, got into ghost pepper stuff for a bit a couple months ago. I love it, but my guts dont really care for it all that much.
If you get a craving for spice, i highly recommend Mrs renfros ghost pepper salsa. Really good flavor, really spicy.
