If that were true, then Harry would never have been given permission to marry her BEFORE abdicating his duties. It would have been nipped long before it got to this. Meghan was given every chance, and she blew every one all on her own.

Not just Fergie, but Diana and Will's wife were treated just as horribly, and for far longer. Both Diana and Will's wife managed to keep their egos in check, and won the love of the people by their own virtues. And, yes, Will's wife is VERY popular with the people, just like Diana was. Meghan has lost the love of the people by her own vices.

Yes, the people did love her... because they loved Harry. And Meghan squandered that love via her own actions. The media doesn't have the power you think they have. People make up their own minds. Diana was treated even worse -- by both the media and the Royal Family -- and the people continued to love her. Catherine was treated far worse, but the people grew to love her.

If it were all about the media, then no one would love Diana or Catherine either. But it's not all about the media, and the people do love Diana and Catherine.

But then Diana and Catherine didn't have the Clinton and Obama's (former) PR guru to put the proper spin on it all, eh? People forget the queen is human. She is not a God, not some kind of super power. She is Harry's grandma.

First and foremost she is the Queen and our head of state , there are processes to be followed and informing the Queen before making a statement of this kind is a requirement not a option.

Face it, the monarchy is going away chip by chip. Harry is one of the only ones well liked, and now he is leaving, there isn't much left.

I'm not a Monarchist so when the Queen dies would be happy to see the end of the House of Windsor but that is not going to happen , we have a constitutional Monarchy here and there are no plans to change that so Charles will be King followed by William.

Harry is a minor Royal so him leaving shouldn't be a problem but "working toward financial Independence" is , if you leave the job you stop suckling from the teat of the British tax payer immediately and start living off your own money.

I wish them luck in their future endeavors.

People saying we don't "really know" what's going on.... lets look at a few things.

- William warned Harry not to marry in haste. He ignored this. Those wishes were also from Diana.
- William and Kate both have issues with Megan.
- Harry has distanced himself from the majority of his friends since meeting her.

It's not about Megan not being from England. It's not about Megan not being white. It's looking at the clear situation.

She's an actress from LA. She's out to get fame and fortune. Not be a Royal. Nothing wrong with that, until you strategically marry a Prince and have his child to then back out and drag him with you.

Conclusion? Harry was/is stupid.

You can say an awful lot against the Queen, but no one can ever say she hasn't worn her crown with duty and grace.
I wish Harry and Meghan success IF they truly want to stand on their own, but they should have done it in a different way.
I rather suspect, however, that Harry and Meghan will be giving up very little, whilst using their position and fame to jump the queue in making cash for themselves WHILST retaining all their Royal privileges.
