Yup, the 1949 painting, 'The Red Poet'. Here it is in all its glory...
As shown in the video you provided, even the two 'antennae' are visible in the painting.
Perhaps the designer of the alien drone and eyes for George Pal's 'The War Of The Worlds' (1953) four years later should have credited Trouille, too.
Mind you, if Trouille had painted an alien, you can guarantee it would have been wearing stockings and suspenders! An 'acquired taste' is the best label for his work. Gimme Dali any day.
