Reports: Iraq's al Asad airbase is under rocket attack

I'm seeing this from multiple sources on Twitter, from BBC Correspondents to NBC, claimed to be confirmed from military commanders on the ground that it's happening.

From senior US military source in Iraq:
“Under missile attack from Iran. These are either cruise missiles or short range ballistic missiles. All over the country.”

A U.S. official confirms to ABC News that ballistic missiles have been fired from inside Iran at multiple U.S. military facilities inside Iraq on Wednesday morning local time. The facilities include Erbil in northern Iraq and Al Asad Air Base in western Iraq, the official said.

Well its on. We will see what the response will be. I don think its going to be pretty. I am hearing they are hitting a number of different places. Cruise and ballistic missiles

Becoming pretty clear this is a Iranian retaliatory strikes I imagine a US response will happen pretty quickly. I hope for cooler heads but this was clearly expected.

BBC: US airbase in Iraq hit by rockets - reports

An airbase housing US and coalition troops in Iraq has been hit by rockets, according to US security sources.

The Al-Asad base was reportedly hit by multiple rockets. It is unclear if there have been any casualties.

It come after top Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani was killed in a drone strike in Baghdad on Friday, on the orders of US President Donald Trump.

Iran has threatened "severe revenge" for Soleimani's death.

Due to the Democrat's cowardly and disproportionate condemnation of President Trump (protecting U.S. interests abroad), the Shi'a controlled country of Iran, has taken this as a show of weakness. Now they are continuing their acts of terrorism launching ballistic missiles at American bases in Iraq, directly from Iran. President Trump will hold the Shi'a regime responsible and crush them like an empty soda can.
More concerning are the 100,000's of Shi'a here in The USA. Will they side with Iran and their brotherhood?

These are apparently being fired *from* Iran into Iraq at the base that houses US soldiers.

Multiple missiles have been launched into Iraq from Iran targeting American bases.

Apparent footage posted up on twitter.com...of Strikes at Al Asad airbase. Cannot verify whether the footage is legitimate so would be helpful if anyone can confirm or debunk.

Live reporting on CNN is indicating that the Revolutionary Guard is taking responsibility. ~10 rockets. No word of casualties so far.
