Not tragic for the likes of the World Bank, put it that way.

We have technology that can wipe out every single one of the Iranian leaders before Sundown no matter where they are. We should use it and end all this brinkmanship.

And then the Russians, and the Chinese, And the Ukrainians, and the British, and the Germans, and the Italians, and the French, and the Syrians, and the Canadians (they are already at the border! and so are the Mexicans!)

Damn it, they are everywhere! Just about everyone is a threat. Foreign and domestic!

Like the liberals, and the Democrats, and, everyone who might stop the re-election! Fear, doom, horror!

... and then at last with a handful of patriots... crowded on the last square mile of un-irradiated land on the planet... America will be great again, and at last we can be in peace - at last we will be avenged, my master... Darth POTUS.

Because North Korea didn't just find 52 billion barrels of oil like Iran did.

Of course!

On a side note, isn't Iran one of the countries not connected to a Central Bank? There was a great thread from a while ago here on ATS about the plan(s) to eventually "uproot" those countries in the M.E. that are not connected to a Central Bank.

Trump doesn't need any help to win the election, he's going to absolutely bulldoze his way through it.

He is a leader with fanatical followers. I thought he was just an idiot, but he is more than that. Add his fanatical followers who think he is a mini God, then that's very worrying, as history shows!

I agree. Make most want to stick their fingers down their throat and spew. May have to do the 'flick pass' to chr0naut on this one.

How dare I say that.

Kind regards,

Not seeing war declared. Trump doesnt declare war either...wrong branch of government

Trump exercised his lawful authority to remove a terrorist as he fled the scene of a terror attack on a US embassy.

Conflating it with war is either lying or ignorance.

An attack on a sovereign nation by another looks like an act of war to me.

And the intention to hit a further 52 targets doesn't sound like he is going after 'a' terrorist.

It was under Trump's watch.

Otto Frederick Warmbier (December 12, 1994 – June 19, 2017) was an American college student who was imprisoned in North Korea in 2016 on a charge of subversion. In June 2017, he was released by North Korea in a vegetative state and died soon afterward.

He's correct.

Targeting cultural sites will do nothing to defeat terrorism or eliminate terrorists.

Rather, it is an intentional provocation and an affront to their culture that will do nothing but piss them off even more and intensify an escalation, and probably inspire more hatred and/or violence/retaliation from those who were hitherto not prone to it.

Stupid threat by a stupid man who would do such a stupid thing.

I voted for Trump and I don’t think he is a god and I do not agree with everything he does or says. What I do like is he isn,t the same pencil pushing establishment stooge that is always playing the PC Card. I believe POTUS puts American first and isn’t going to put up with any BS.

We can have the arguments about why we are in the middle east in the first place but you have to go back several decades. The president has to play the cards he is dealt and Iran has been warned numerous times going back several months and years. How many times do we need to let someone poke us before we can poke back?

I hope nothing happens and the people of Iran can stand up and take the country back. That is the only way any new leadership will last. Iran needs to solve these problems internally but will the deep state and alphabet agencies let that happen, I don’t know

I would much rather no US or Iranians get slaughtered but hour by hour this is looking more like war is going to happen.
Trump has warned and threatened so much that he is not going to back down, and the Iran regime are fully commited to taking revenge on suliemani so things are looking very bad.

Nothing good is going to come from this, unless you count arms companies making a huge profit as something good.
Sure America can obliterate the Iranian leadership, but Iran can attack many US interests in the region and send many full bodybags back to the US.
And look at the map-Iran is about the size of Iraq and Afghanistan combined-and its 80% mountains.
If this ends up as a ground war(which all wars do)Iran has the potential to wage the mother of all guerilla campaigns which will make Vietnam look like a bar brawl.
Many people will die on both sides, and nothing will change for the better.

Humans don't deserve this once beautiful planet.
We're #ing it all up over and over and over..

Just a couple weeks ago Trump supporters loved that he wanted to pull out of the middle east and stop creating endless wars.

There goes the economy.

This his brilliant move to fix the problem and stave off the MIC/Warhawks at the same time. Precision targeting. No ground offensive crap. Mullahs know he ain't bluffing. You can bet even Kim is paying attention.

Trump is open to negotiation, ball is now in Mullahs court. Ongoing Conflict settlement is all---no new war needed.

If Trump is doing this because of some Americans killed by Iran then why didn't he attack N. Korea when they imprisoned and killed Otto Warmbier?
It seems to me that there are other more secret reasons for this sudden move on Iran.

I believe this has been planned for sometime, there are no secrets anymore.

Meh......

ATS is a microcosm of the country. The battle lines have been drawn, and very few are on the fence.

Unfortunately, issues are no longer assessed on their individual merit, but rather ppls like or dislike for our president.

We occupy as a security force in Iraq. No problem there. The general was not authorized to be in Iraq. And was fleeing the scene of a terror attack on a US embassy.

If war was declared...it was by Iran. Not the US.

The other targets are to eliminate risk after credible public threat was made by Iran. That isnt war. War is when congress declares war. No matter what it "looks like" to you.
