I also remember a large delegation of Democrat congresswampers going to Puerto Rico along with over 100 lobbyists about a year ago for some kind of winter retreat coupled with conferences on the on-going cleanup of Hurricane Maria.
So, here it is 2020. Has Puerto Rico's infrastructure improved with the spending of 92 billion US taxpayer funds? No? Well, I bet somebody's bank account has improved. Perhaps they will donate some of it to Nancy Pelosi's re-election campaign.
Follow the money.
On the same day that some 800,000 federal workers missed their first paycheck due to the government shutdown, a group of 30 Democratic Party lawmakers headed to sunny Puerto Rico to party.
The Democrats hopped a charter plane to mingle on the Caribbean island over the weekend with 109 lobbyists and corporate executives, including honchos from Facebook, Microsoft and Amazon.
President Donald Trump tweeted on Jan. 12: “We have a massive Humanitarian Crisis at our Southern Border. We will be out for a long time unless the Democrats come back from their “vacations” and get back to work. I am in the White House ready to sign!”
While staying at a seaside resort where rooms go for more than $400 per night, the Democrats even made time to see the hit Broadway show “Hamilton” and attend three parties including one with the show’s cast, according to a report by the Washington Examiner.
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — A man convicted of shooting a U.S. Border Patrol agent nine years ago in a case that exposed a botched federal gun operation known as “Fast and Furious” was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison.
U.S. District Judge David C. Bury sentenced Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes to the mandatory life sentence after hearing tearful statements from the sisters of Brian Terry, the agent who was fatally shot while on a mission in Arizona on Dec. 14, 2010.
House lawmakers received a classified briefing on US Iraq strikes. Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah, said intelligence showed Iran preparing new attacks: “I can tell you with assurance this was not the same thing we’ve been seeing for the past few years. This was something different.”

Hossein Salami (MajGen) is Chief Commander of IRGC. Esmail Ghaani (Brig Gen) is new Quds Commander replacing Soleimani.
So what did killing him really accomplish?
Revenge?
To intimidate iran?
Should we now kill esmail? Because if we knew that soleimani was planing attacks aren't those attacks still on the table? Killing one man wouldn't stop them.
In fact I would expect quds to ramp up there attacks over this. So why not kill esmail?
Do we just think he isn't as bad as soleimani and wait or him to maybe prove us wrong?
