One was a BP Senior Reservoir Engineer,
One was a Laing O'Rourke engineer who did a PHD course at Imperial College, London.

A quick search shows that Laing O'Rourke built Citigroup's Canary Wharf building.

Interesting in that article that they walked back the "engine failure" explanation.

Earlier today the Ukrainian Embassy said preliminary information showed the crash was caused by an engine malfunction.

However, they later retracted their statement about the cause, declaring it ‘not official’.

It appears the feds are preparing to hit the United Auto Workers union with a RICO charge.

A regional director who has already plead guilty to corruption charges has been hit with a new indictment for racketeering. It seems likely he's going to testify against 2 former union presidents. More significanty, this makes it more likely the feds are going to force strict oversight of the UAW, similar to how they "took over" the Teamsters in 1990 to weed out corruption and Mob influence. That oversight period lasted for 25 years.

Well, they have said that if we do not retaliate/escalate then they are done. So, who to believe? This Ali fella, or straight from the horses mouth? I agree with some of the people here. There has been backchannel communications happening, and these missiles did not kill any Americans by design. It was a show of force to save face for the Mullahs.

ETA - Interesting to note that POTUS address will be in the half hour that completes Q's Ten days of darkness (since 13:06 on Dec 29th).
Also NO POTUS tweets so far today.

I don't know about the rest of you, but this is crazy to me.

rather than applauding, I'm asking questions..what about the plane crash? What about the earthquakes? If the strikes were done so they could 'save face ' who are they saving face for? Iran is a regime run by corrupt, ruthless, not to mention bat # crazy (and more than likely puppets with outside controllers) dictators who forced people to attend this funeral at gunpoint. If they're saving face, it's not for their citizens.

I'm not sure. The pic was just a teaser toward the Iran Air shootdown, making the point about outbound traffic verses inbound. I stick to the concept that an inbound flight would be at much greater risk for AA .
