First off, I’m not here to argue, merely to learn. I am a curious person. I have a genuine question:

I'm being nice to you and expect you to be nice to me

I have genuine questions and for the record, I am against the idea of having a world government and declaring a NWO - I give my personal views on the matter in brackets, at the bottom of this post

Like many here I’m very wary about the emergence of a “New World Order”, as a kind of totalitarian world government. Indeed I can well imagine such a thing creeping into existence. We all need to be very vigilant about this.

However, perhaps we need an alternative to the Old World Order? That is unlike the monstrous vision of the “New World Order”? I don’t see why such an alternative needs to be totalitarian or involve any world government...

Basically, what’s so great about the OWO? Here are my thoughts on the matter:

Things we can attribute to the Old World Order: WWI, WWII, concentration camps, gulags, the holocaust, genocide, mass severance, totalitarianism, wage slavery, colonialism, the destruction of indigenous cultures, the military-industrial complex, the crusades, slavery, terrorism, sexism, racism, religious oppression, rule by elites, massive inequalities, a powerful ruling class who ignores the common good for its own sectional interests, poverty, starvation, constant war, oppression of women, massive pollution, destruction of nature – etc. etc.

Things that seek to make the world a better place but that many consider pre-cursors to a sinister NWO: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. I think these are very noble things that should be encouraged.

So, my question is, basically: What’s so great about the Old World Order that it needs defending from being superseded? Why should we not seek to organise human life on our planet in a different, fairer and less destructive way?

And why does the alternative have to be some dystopian nightmare? Is that not a bit pessimistic? Or am I being naïve?

(Personally, I think we are approaching End Times, and that End Times will see the current world order being swept away so we won't need to worry about either the NWO or the OWO as humankind will enter a new epoch - basically, I have a Christian world-view...)

Genuine questions, I'm here to learn, not here to argue…

I should know better than to reply, mostly because I'm leaving for work and won't even be able to see replies to this until later tonight and knowing me, I'll forget to check because it's New Years, buuuuuutttt..........I'll bite. lol

I think the answer you're looking for is simple. Freedom.

What do I mean by that?? Well, all of those terrible things you described as being apart of the OwO sure are terrible, but those countries had the freedom to decide whether or not to go down those routes. They each have their own rules, laws, beliefs, etc......whereas if everything was under a NwO, then everything would theoretically be under one rule, one law, one belief, and it's scary to think about how much worse all of that could be with the wrong people in control of said NwO.

A good way to look at it is with state rights in the US. I'm a firm believer in legalization of marijuana. For the longest time we had a strict nation-wide law that pretty much screwed anyone caught with it. Thankfully states have fought for their rights to legalize it in their own district, to the point where I'm honestly surprised they haven't just legalized it nationwide. If/when that does happen, I'm sure some states will fight for their right to criminalize it, which is completely fair imo.

The point of all of this is that each state has the freedom to determine what it wishes to do. Counties have their own freedom as well. Colorado wishes to put the red flag law into place starting tomorrow, but thankfully my county has become a 2nd amendment sanctuary county, so to hell with that law.

So, long story short, freedom is the answer I believe you're looking for. I don't believe we'll have as much under a NwO.

I think it likely we are already in the New World Order but like all things that happen gradually we failed to see it , the New World Order is about control of the masses by the few and as it stands now our every movement is tagged through our mobile devices , we are spied on both digitally and on the street with algorithms determining our threat to social order , we are slaves fed the illusion of choice and free will but with no real representation or choice.

In the Old World Order we had freedom of thought and the right to express that thought , now expression is subject to rules imposed by the watchers and sanctions for breaking those rules , we have become enslaved by the technology that was meant to liberate us.

I am not here to be an arse but I will point out just one point. Much about the old world order is extremely bad. However, that's how history played out before weapons of mass destruction were invented in the 1940's. Now its a new game in which total control of all on earth can be attained by just a few.

It was written that Power Corrupts. I was also taught in graduate school that the #1 Maxim in life is that history repeats itself.

Right here right now assuming criminal behavior and drug cartels are kept in check under current law we play a game of life called Capitalism. Its no way perfect but it does leave certain outs for people. Meaning, if you cant get hired or work for a jerk you can always start your own business and thrive. Many Latinos who are transplants have and now live in the USA. Plus if you get around the pushed "mantra" that manual labor is bad, you can become well off by doing manual labor today in the USA. Skilled trades as a good Plumber or Electrician can make $100,000 a year.

It comes down to your freedom under ownership of whom. Right now its US Code for USA. The alternate New order counts itself as heaven but

Power Corrupts and history repeats itself.

Look at what is happening here with the MSM and DNC. Just sit back, watch it and do you own analysis. If you cannot see it why will it get better?

Its better when we have more Kings rather than One. George Soros father was wrong. I read his book. My opine

yes, we need one currency and one religion....to do a NWO

we have economic death at our forefront with bank to bank overnite general colateral rates going bad...and we need a one religion leader...say for instance a pope....that can gather all the different sectors together....check....and say he has a political sway to his emminance....check.......looks like we are cleared direct to oblivion.....we have a pope that thinks he is God on Earth, but there's just this one thing

one thing that's going to bother him......Scripture states he spilled the blood of the saints....forbid marriage ....has a hat with vicar of God written on it, 666 in roman transliteration....changed the law and times....how dare he get rid of one of the ten commandment and split another in half to make for it, hope no one says anything...but I will!!

and tells the congregation that the Bible is not safe for them to read themselves.....ads are killin this, btw.....and the bible they use there at the popes place is not a regular one, it has to be special or the house would fall down ....hey...just like the J W's ..a cult, what does that make the catholic leaders?....and that one thing that's not allowed for....is Scripture states that the leaders will be held up in front of everybody to scoff at...by Jesus

Right now we struggle to get local govts to do their job, why should I think a 1 world govt thousands of miles away and most likely a different culture can do the job?

Well, first off it’s old. So it has to be better.

Second, if all of this planet came together we’d be able to join the rest of inhabited planets throughout the universe and share technology etc. And who wants that. It’s better to keep squabbling over the piece of dirt we were born on and killing each other.

Plus, something about George Soros and the left being Nazis by wanting to give you affordable healthcare and education.

What’s so great about the Old World Order?
They got things done, or at least it seemed like it.
It just feels as if though people were more honest and genuine in the past, things were built to last (not always though).
And we weren’t as money-corrupted as we are now.

But I’m being naive.
There was a lot more bloodshed, and a lot more anger.
Humans have always been corrupt.

Genuine Question: What’s so great about the Old World Order?

~ High-level skills and craftsmanship in the trades
~ High level of discipline and sense of responsibility
~ OW expected a high level of discipline from their children
~ High-quality educational system
~ Picked up after themselves (didn't walk past litter in the street)
~ Emphasized the nuclear family
~ Vehemently patronized the arts
~ Emphasized natural physical fitness
~ Communally maintained their green spaces
~ Didn't park themselves in front of a television
~ Didn't spend all day playing games and engaging in fantasy
~ Didn't dress like slobs
~ Didn't act disrespectfully to others, as there were real consequences
~ Respected honor and duty
~ Maintained strict privacy
~ Struck deals based on a handshake and were men of their word
~ Obeyed the law
~ Respected their institutions
~ Nationalism promoted all of the above (See modern Japan for an example of respectable nationalism)

This is a taste. There's a great deal more.

Flame away.

Ummm...well...that's a big if right there...NOT going to happen...

Not quite sure how to respond to that statement...other than...WTF are you even talking about...?
What...other inhabited planets and races and technology...?

Be specific...

It’s better to keep squabbling over the piece of dirt we were born on and killing each other.

Once again...for the logic impaired...

Each and every human is an apex predator...the top of the food chain on this planet...Some are Alpha's...some are Beta's...most are Omega's...shall I guess which category you belong in...?

Humans are Territorial...lactating...mammals...NOT...some enlightened imaginary species existing in harmony with it's surroundings...

Well, the OWO is what we know and got used to and can anticipate and change if need be. The OWO is about countrie's sovereignity and ability to act like an adult [as in whatever they see fit to protect their culture and people].
The NWO is about making everybody the same, look the same, believe the same, say the same, have the same culture.
Problem with this is that it may be an novel idea but it isn't applicable to the humans of earth.
We are tribal beings. We need to belong to a group.
We find safety and solace in our own kin. Every time a country grows too big, the people if certain regions will come together.
No one world order is possible.

Hi NOPQNOPQ. Greetings, and welcome to ATS !

Perhaps humanity is on the cusp of a new epoch, as you wonder ?

Will it be the end of Patriarchy ?
Have you observed any current leader, whom you would follow into the fray ?
Are we not in a mess ?

Will we pull together, and do what's best for our future generations ?

If we let the current leaders set the path, why should we expect anything different from what we observe today ?

What do you figure may happen, if every human had a vote on our direction ?

The only difference between the two is who has the power. Neither one is good for the people.

What we need is a New People's Order and a return to common law.

Genuine Question: What’s so great about the Old World Order?

They were able to take care of themselves and each other and didn't turn to the respective governments to do everything for them .
Be my guess....

There wasn't much of an order, and had differing nations with differing factions vying for it.

That why they turned to their respective Churchs to solve their problems.

There is an old saying that is also most apt, Better the devil you know.

Look at how communism turned out, from being a socialist dream into a totalitarian state that OWNED the people rather than the people owning the state, ruled by despotic dictators rather than the people as was the ideal behind it and corrupted into new imperialism were the military usually became the main enforcer in such states.

Compared democracy is not so bad even if it has it's fault's such as our own cliques of crook's in places of power, right wing economic's out of control and bank's getting away with crime's for which the bankers responsible should have been strung up by mob's in the street's.

Stability, that is the selling point, stability allows you to build your house without the ground under it becoming sand - IF you can get to that level in your society.

So nothing good about them at all but the alternative is perhaps far worse.

The NEW world order is a very bad thing indeed, it is seeking to overcome and replace the stable if flawed system's we have with a new imperial system, the same kind of despotic crack pot's that always take power are simply using this pipe dream of a one world government to usher in more power for themselves and less for you.

The old world order while far from perfect is therefore at least on this point preferable by far and a way's indeed, even if those that rule in the old world order are also crook's and tyrant's.
