I understand your skeptical, I would be too. I didn't put any production in the video. The object was hovering for a long time and then out of a sudden it started moving. I then went up to the 12th floor of the building I live in and used my camera to try and zoom in (believe it or not I was using my mom's head to stabilize the camera ), and you can hear her voice as she was talking to my brother that lives in Germany, which I called on whatsapp to have him take a look as well.

The only reason I actually did all of this was because one of the earliest UFO sightings recorded was in fact here in Valongo like 50 years ago so I simply got curious.

Anyway, here's a picture of whatever that was before I went up to record it as when it started moving it got covered by the trees you see in the image and a few other screenshots taken by my brother while I was showing it to him on whatsapp using the camera (I know a lot of work for nothing).

I'm pretty sure it is not a star as it was moving until it suddenly went black. I will definitely try and make a better video, if by any change it shows up again.

Stars don't move much but they can appear to move 15 degrees per hour, the rotation rate of the Earth, which gets magnified if using 300x zoom. What direction was this photo taken? If North is 0 degrees, East is 90 degrees, NE is 45 degrees, etc, what direction/heading was the camera pointed? Also, what time was the photo taken? There's no exif in the photo giving the time.

You said Venus was to the left, but I don't see Venus to the left side of that image.

Using my cellphone's compass now, I was filming between NW- 315? and North 0.

The picture was taken at exactly 18:24 CET.

Does that make sense? I honestly believe that it was not a star as the whole thing might have taken 45 minutes as a max. Then suddenly it just went black while I was trying to record a bit more. Here you have another picture of it but from the 12th floor where I shot the video, so that you can have a better idea of the surroundings. Picture

Regardless you guys have experience in debunking this type of stuff and I don't, so if you guys say it was a star then I'll take it, but it surely didn't seem like one.

So the first picture was taken at exactly 18:24 CET and that picture you just added was taken a little after 18:24 CET? And the direction of the UFO at that time of the latest picture was about 340 degrees?

This second picture I have added was taken at exactly 18:50 by checking it's details. Meaning that the recording took place 5 minutes after.

The second picture should have the same coordinates as you can see that the houses placement on both pictures more or less match, and only the angle differs. I would have to go up there again and check, but I believe you're correct.

In what direction did it move? Left, right, up, down?

The Alfena case? It's one of the best, but not that old, as it happened in 1990.

From my perspective it seemed to be moving down as the reason I went up to the 12th floor was because I couldn't see it anymore due to the trees.

Just checked with Stellarium. OP was seeing Vega. Its low in the sky NW from Portugal.

As already pointed out the shape is simply down to your camera. See following video where Venus is the main subject filmed with two different cameras.



Many such sightings can be eliminated by use of such software as Stellarium. You can download it for your phone.
