I was just checking up on my YouTube subscription feed and spent the last hour watching some rock concert clips. For some reason, I ended up watching the following clip, that was posted on YouTube this past October.

Man, I can't believe how many talented young musicians there are around the world. One of the guitarists featured in this clip, was just eleven years old, when he was brought up on stage by Steel Panther, when they were on tour back in 2013. He nailed Van Halen's "Eruption" solo, then led the band in a cover of "You Really Got Me." His name is Aiden Fisher and he's the guitarist who performs the solo in the clip shown below.

So what's your favorite "rock" cover done by a bunch of youngsters under the age of 18? My pick is this one:

Anything from the O'keefe school is awesome..the kid singing in the iron maiden "number of the beast" cover nails it.

The School Of Rock things are often decent but very flawed in a way that pisses me off because things are just off kilter enough to ruin it. LOL

EDIT - BTW, being young doesn't necessarily mean today's young people are any more talented than young people used to be. Most of the stuff we love from the old days was done by young musicians who were barely adults and were already virtuoso musicians and vocalists AND writers (making their own original material).

I think today's youth might even be underachieving in comparison, TBH. I think probably half of these kids would just plain give up if they had to (for example) go through the adversity that the members of GNR went through before they made it.

It's not a competition and musical maturity may never come but as long as the kids have a passion to ROCK, that's all that really matters.
