That sucks. My family used to have a black and white kitty we named Zorro because he liked leaving his little zeds over the floor. Fortunately, he grew out of it. Not sure what to recommend with a cat that doesn't grow out of it. Must be articles on this matter on different websites.

He's been behaving himself today upstairs, for the most part. We've had to get after him for squatting a few times, and he ran to his litter box instead, like he begrudgingly got the idea. For a cat that hates the basement, he's been going back down there & pouting, like he's pissed off at us for making him sleep down there last night that he'd rather just sit down there away from everyone, lol.

The kids went off to a nearby field to fly kites today, it's been warm (relatively speaking, about 45*) and the right kind of breeze for kiting. The younger kid's kite went a little out of control, and the string got tangled on the older kid's earring -- a post earring, not a hook style one -- and yanked it right out. They spent forever combing the area, and one of their friends with them went back to get their grandpa and his metal detector, and they STILL couldn't find the earring.
It's not going to be much trouble to replace, but it was a pair we gave her for her birthday, silver & amethyst stones. Dainty little earrings, but they're styled to look quite glittery & pricey when in reality, they cost me $35, lol. She doesn't know how much they cost, however, and assumed based on window shopping at jewelers in the mall that they must have cost several hundred, so she was all upset and bawling and apologetic, etc, etc. I already told her not to worry about it, and we'll get her another pair soon.

Glad that you are working on rebuilding your life. I was never an addict but I struggled with serious depression. The only way out of it for me was to focus on new aspirations. If I just carried on like I had, depression would overtake me again. I became rather obsessive with writing and research. Trying to promote myself as a self-published author has kept me busy, though it is all too easy to procrastinate. Laziness has been my enemy as of late. But I've been reading Jordan Peterson lately and watching his videos on YouTube, and I find him very encouraging. He teaches us to take back responsibility and accountability, to put our lives in order and to work hard to better ourselves and our lives. He quotes Friedrich Nietzsche a lot, who I am not that familiar with. But I want to study him further myself.

That's neat about prepositions. Cultural differences in language.

Nyiah, this is an ordeal, I can just imagine how it must how hard it is with someone you have spent so many years.
I have a suggestion. This has worked for me when my kitties went off.
A kitty calming collar. They have worked really well for me.
The part I cut off because it is too long I put in their bed.

There are "No Kill" shelters that take cats with special needs, if that is the final solution.
I live close to one, they are extremely compassionate. They have separate rooms. actual rooms for all sorts of conditions.
I hope all goes well.

Greetings Shedpeeps,

I came across a beautiful, yet haunting tune whilst watching some "Missing 411" type videos on Youtubby, and I just had to share it...

I think the tune is called "Defense" or "Defensive" and is by an artist called Xu Jialiang.

Enjoy.

Beautiful and haunting indeed. Loved this!

The David Paulides Missing 411 stories are absolutely fascinating and scary. You said you were watching 411 type videos. By who? I would like to see these.

It's a guy called Rusty West, he uses that tune as his mood music during the videos when he's narrating the "Missing Persons in the Woods" type of cases.

No need for apologies little wolf.

I don't always have the energy to post or reply to someone, even if i wanted to.

What really matters, is that you are a part of this realm which is known as the shed. I guarantee i am not the only one here who feels like that!

My GOOD day...

It's not often that I can connect anything "good" to what is going on in my life but it is as it is.

Last night started the goodness with me being able to watch the premiere of season 5 of "Better Call Saul". As a good part of my life consists of watching a few TV series Seeing the first of the new season is like breathing again after holding my breath for several week. My only complaint is that the last few minutes at most were cut off on the free site I was watching it on. However, what can I expect from paying nothing for something?

I tried something different to help me sleep last night. I used my knee brace thingy as a sleep mask to cut out any light from were I live. For good measure I also used my ear plugs, which only muffle the noises dad makes by about 20%, until one or both fall out during my sleep.

As my world is not perfect this only helped until starving kitty needed to be taken care of (I'm guessing this was somewhere between 4-7am).

Going back to sleep brought about a couple of interesting dreams. I was traveling in a pretty wooded area on a train. However I felt that some of the trees were out of place so I reached over and moved them. Then I found myself sitting in the driver's seat of a car. Nearby was a dead man hanging from a rope. The creepy thing was that even though he was dead he did glance down at me a few times.

Waking up later today was a pleasant experience as it's been slightly raining but that was the only noise, if any around. Dad, the family noise maker, was at his physical therapy appointment so no grunts or other unneeded noise from him. As a bonus my other cat had decided to sleep on my side. I appreciate the love of a kitty who does that.

Despite the world being as it should I finally got out of bed, made my coffee and a toast sandwich and said hello to my mum. The day is winding down in the good part. This is that this afternoon is my mom's physical therapy appointment. Meaning the noise maker is still out of the house but I expect them to return soon.

I've spend the time with my coffee waking up, watching a few trailers for Better Call Saul, and finally taking a shower.

So the cats are busy doing what they do best, sleeping, and I'm off to decide what is next (maybe laundry) in my world.
