I think there is a valuable lesson Angry should learn from this thread.

When he or anyone else starts with a first post on matters directly related to the US constitution that includes:

If Trump actually wrote that then a) he does not understand the Constitution that he vowed to preserve

you better have the chops to be able to debate specifics in the Constitution - otherwise you are bound to look a complete fool. I happened to know from previous interactions he is completely clueless on the subject.

I see a lot of this kind of behaviour and it seems to orignate a lot from Trump haters.

For clarity, though, I am not originally from the US. I have lived in the US and travelled extensively all over the country.
I am originally from Ireland(and am an Irish citizen) and lived the majority of my life in the UK, including the years up to 19 and also currently.

If you managed to see the reopening of Parliament today and witnessed just how broken and defeated Jeremy Corbyn was, you'll have seen the start of something truly wonderful.
The UK has broken the back of the globalist takeover of our country.
I just hope that the US can also triumph by overcoming the attempted coup, squashing the impeachment in the Senate and re-electing Trump. It's been an epic fight in the UK, with all the similar strands, court shopping, propaganda, a broken House of Parliament, deadlock, investigations, cries of Russian interference... It was touch and go at one stage, but like our ancestors I believe we have saved our nation, albeit without bullets.
I suspect it's going to be even harder for the US Citizens to get themselves out of the mess they are in, but I live in hope. I truly believe that if Trump survives, he and Boris are going to do some great things for the UK and US.

Independent here.

I don't think the letter was necessarily bad... But it wasn't good either.

Are the democrats wrong? I think so.
Could that letter have been more eloquent, and without hyperbole or hubris? Sure.
It was alright. But independents are typically used to being dissatisfied with potitical events, hence their tendency not to cling to a party.

This impeachment is dumb, it's a waste of time, money, and resources... But many don't see this as the biggest scandal to hit politics in the last couple of decades.

Here's all anyone needs to know about impeachment and the leftists in general.

What they "think" is always right.

If they "think" Trump is bad, then he is bad, and must be impeached. Facts don't actually factor in the equation. Facts be damned! They KNOW what Trump THOUGHT and that's all they need.

Same with Trump defenders, not even Trump supporters.

If you don't exactly THINK like a leftist progressive, then you are a vermin, deplorable, Nazi, racist, bigot, sexist, hater.

Facts don't play into it. Critical thinking has left with Elvis and is having the meatloaf special at Denney's right now.

And really, this is a good thing. Because their masks have come off.

They want the Nat'l Guard to remove firearms from innocent civilians. They openly want to deny free expression in the form of statues or anything they hate, aptly named, hate speech.

Their authoritarian, totalitarian, fascist nature has come out into the open and at the very least we should be thankful that we can now recognize and identify these haters of freedom, The Constitution, and liberties.
