They have done the same in the United States and i seriously doubt its eastern European gangs.

I spoke with police present, after the last time it happened here at my local mall. Also I have some friends working for the police, I spoke with them also. No links, just this.
I don’t think anyone in The Netherlands will dispute we have a problem with organized crime from Eastern Europe. Also many (organized) criminals from Northern Africa, but -in general- they do other crimes (mainly drug mafia).

We are in an open border union with them, crime is attracted to the rich countries. Even more when the police is lacking funds to do their job.

If you're going to bomb an atm machine does it really matter if it's open or closed?

Yes, as I stated before:
They need to get 2 explosive enveloppes inside the machine. When you try to get money out the legal way ( insert card+code) and forget to take out your money, it will ‘swallow’ the money back in. They use this mechanism to insert the 2 explosive enveloppes. If the machine is off, it will not ‘swallow’ the enveloppes.

A rich country with no money for the police is a sign of bad management.

That's consistent with governments around the globe, poor management, in fact it's about the only thing they're good at.

Simple solution. You have a problem with banks? Don't use one. Keep all of your money either on your person or at a safe location that only you know about. Take the bank out of the picture. The banks are trying their best to protect your money. Doing what they're doing is not restricting your freedoms.

Having access to your own money 24-7 is a freedom. Having access to cash 24-7 is a freedom. I do not want to be restricted in any way! Many people work before 7 am. Many people need cash money before that time.

Life was rough before the internet and ATMs. Some people even woke up before 7am. It was a pretty messed up time. You're lucky you never had live the nightmare!

Cash is real, or as real as it is without a gold bar.
Electronic money can be taken away from you at ANY time for ANY reason.

Swipe that debit card an enjoy.

So why not crack down on criminals?

I mean seriously? So if they cannot get to the ATM's do they assume that property crime will go away? Seems far more likely that they will resort to other crimes no?

I can take more money out of my bank account by visiting a few grocery stores than my banks atm will allow me to in a days time.. maybe it's not the same in europe?
But it seems to me that if these gangs want the money bad enough, they will just find another way to get it? All they are probably doing is ticking off some of their customers who find themselves in need of some cash.

This is whats happening here in Ireland





Theres been at least 21 ATM robberies here since March 2018.
