Family isn't important. Nor are family values. Family doesn't matter at all. Family is a detriment to liberal mentality.

I am now forever in favor of family.....destruction.

Who can say what is good?

A dualistic mindstate.
1 has not confirmed if objective reality is governed by dualistic or non dualistic energy 😶🤔😉

Freewill the way we perceive it leaves a lot to be desired.

Further study as to how consciousness functions and allows us to interact with the reality we assume we experience is a requirement.

The assumption is that there is two...there is not two so nothing actually interacts.

There is simply what is happening....so so simple....too simple for the mind as there is nothing to work out!!

You're going to die. No defense. No offense. Your death will happen.

How do you feel about that?

Laws and what we consider to be socially acceptable change over time.

Take for instance that crap we used to get up to less than a few centuries previous that we now feel morally obligated to blame people in Muslim nations for perpetrating.

Does that permit Americans to permit independence?

Yes, unjust laws must change, they should approach laws that are immutable.
I think we have made great progress in this respect over the last 2 millennia, and particularly in the last century.
I have faith that these immutable laws are possible.

Don't you already have independence?

End of the day we live in a global community whether or not we care to recognize that fact or otherwise.

We are all cogs in a machine that is our society, with the infostructure and transportation networks in place to move Man and goods all over the planet in a matter of hours or days.

I think we have made great progress in the past 150 years, at least scientifically and technologically wise.

The paradigm we follow as a race, however, has changed very little since we decided to come out from the cave and start farming.

In matters of faith, I suspect that the experiences that the cave dwellers had , in order to spark their progress, are in many ways, the same as we have today.

I believe there is a progressive refinement that reveals it's self.
call it evolution If you like. (I do)

Pain can be good. Fear can be incredible helpful. It's always a matter how you approach it. A good workout is painful but satisfying because it means physical growth. To face fear and overcome it means psychological strength increases.
Humans are animals but we also have culture. Duality, low and high in one being, curse and blessing. Surpressing one means the other will starve.

Like with really good sex, build the tension until it hurts means the relief will be incredible and shake your core, because it won't be just physical.
If you just do an in and out without mental stimulation you are not even scratching the surface of what "good" can feel like.

And only through knowing pain, comes the capacity of mercy, forgiveness and redemption.
It is no wonder that mystics endured Asceticism.

Civilizations rise and fall all the same, as do their laws and ethical dilemmas.

Reset, rinse, and repeat, may very well be the colour of humanities day.

I agree, but it would seem that certain things persist.
Perhaps the most persistent is that a collapse seems inevitable.
We seem to lack foresight, and destined to always sow the seeds of our own destruction.
unless....?

Man has too much foresight......
The mind is a problem solver....and actually invents problems so it has something to do lol.

Just listen to the mind....it imagines the future and sees problems.....the future does not actually exist so what problem can be solved there?

Imagine having no foresight or beforesight.....how peaceful would life be

The mind just tells stories now.....to help you feel safe.....it will be ok if....

But what is wrong (or right) with right now?

Stop here and now and rest in peace.

Peace cannot be found.....because it is here now. Seeking outside of what actually is, one believes the stories instead of seeing what is really here.

The present coordinate moment can only bring peace, if there is a good heading toward the next, there is no rest until we stop, lets hope then we can rest in peace.

That it is a process that has happened before.

The moment that is present is neither good nor bad.....it just is.
This is life without condition....

The mind cannot see this though because the mind is just story telling ....it only presents before and after because that is all it can speak about.

It is obvious that what is happening is all there actually is.....but what is happening cannot be told...it is not a story.

Unless nothing mate.

We are a product of our environment.

If we broach the singularity before we run out of energy and resources we might have a hand in the creation of Humanity 2.0.

But as long as we are stuck on this rock we seem destined to fight over whats on it and under it.
