Boris Johnson has apologized after the Mirror revealed a four-year-old boy with suspected pneumonia had to sleep on a hospital floor.

The Prime Minister said sorry for "everybody who has a bad experience" in the health service.

Boris Johnson Apologises After Four-Year-Old Boy Had To Sleep On Hospital Floor

Sorry just don't cut the mustard there Boris.

Absolutely atrocious and indicative of the state of our beloved NHS.

He even refused to look at the picture to begin with and pocketed the journalist's phone no less.

I havent kept up with this story, how did Boris cause this child to sleepbon the floor?

Im not trying to start something, but my visceral reaction was to read that title and have an instant recall of kids on the floor at the US Southern border being blamed on Trump.

Is this the same sort of thing? Folks need to runcsome new plays if so.

Ill read your source and return

*ETA I wont accept their cookies, Ill need your synopsis

His Tory party caused it with the last nine years of forced austerity.

As to synopsis, it is what it says it is.

There are multiple reports online, Googles your friend their mate and can paint a far better picture of the situation than i.

Watch the video.

On the left of the photo there is a cunningly disguised bed, why wasn't he on it.

To the left, a chair.

The more astute of you will notice a pattern developing.

Fake news that will be discredited by tomorrow.

Although this is being used to bash Boris Johnson, I doubt many will be swayed by it at this stage - not if the countless other reasons not to vote for him went over their heads.

The NHS has been permanently in crisis mode for years, as are many other crucial public services in the UK, and the situation has got worse every year under Mr Johnson's party. If that's not reason enough for the electorate to throw the Conservatives out, I don't think there's much hope for us.

How is a world leader going to micro-manage the entire health system? This is stupid to blame this on Boris. I would blame trying to put healthcare into the hands of government as the reason for inefficiencies. Government is a terrible place to put your trust.

He could have looked at the pic and show a little empathy instead of ignoring the situation or trying to dismiss it whilst pocketing the reporter's phone.

I saw a rat pocket a phone.

That's was a new one.

I'm sure the hospital staff will be along at some point to chine in as to why the child spent anytime whatsoever on the floor of there hospital.

Too many patients is often half the problem. Can't fit more beds in there if you wanted to, so waiting times are horrendous.

I had my heart attack sorted out there in May, nurses are all fantastic, it's just a very busy regional hospital.

I was there last week with my grandson, over thirty kids with all the bugs under the sun waiting in one room. We only had a two hour wait....a mate was waiting seven hours with his baby. Again, staff are great.....it's just rammed half the time.

Empathy is overrated. I would rather have a politician that looks at pragmatic, logical decisions than emotional ones that cause more problems than those they originally were intended to fix.

It has absolutely nothing to do with austerity. NHS spending is only going up and there's no end in sight. There have been NO cuts, it's actually the exact opposite. It has to do with our services being stretched more and more, year upon year due to the influx of people who do not contribute into the system but gladly use our services like it's Christmas every day. But I'm sure you'll keep lying about that and won't take the time to look into the actual number.

It's not a bed, it a trolley with files and various other stuff in it, He's got his back to it in the lower picture.

Actually most Brits value it greatly because we reckon everyone is entitled to health and life saving treatment, regardless of their financial status.

Empathy for children on the floor is overrated???!!!

Where are these political figures that make pragmatic and logical decisions?

Surely you don't mean the likes of Boris Nonsense?

It has plenty to do with weans on the floor of a supposed so-called hospital all the same.

There have been plenty of cuts to the NHS, especially so in the last 9 years alone, to imagine otherwise is sheer nonsensical.

Ask any nurse or doctor and they will tell you the same.

Lies. The numbers are out there. Look at the money put into the NHS over the last decade specifically. It hasn't gone down. It's gone up consistantly and exponentially every year. Do you know what else has gone up? Yeah you guessed it, the population and not from within.

This kid on the floor is a direct symptom of that. The numbers are all there for you to find, all government supplied. Educate yourself and save our children.

This is thanks to Austerity policy.

Austerity has crippled this country and those who supported such a policy should be arrested as enemies of the state for intentionally and deliberately harming this nation. This may not include Boris but certainly includes various members of his cabinet.

This country is a disgrace. Blair and Cameron have a lot to answer for.
