Reddit says UK-US trade talks document leak 'linked to Russia'

Seems to be Russia are quite keen on seeing a Marxist as British PM , the leaked documents appear to show that a future Johnson government would put parts of the NHS up for grabs in a trade deal with the US and were used by Corbyn last week as a way to attack his opponent , Reddit has suspended 61 accounts they say were part of a co-ordinated effort.

There have been renewed calls for the government to make public a report into possible Russian interference in British elections.

Mr Corbyn claimed the papers showed the NHS is "for sale" and Labour says their release was in the public interest.

Reddit's post did not provide any further details about the evidence behind its conclusions.

But it said a group of suspect accounts "provides us with important attribution for the recent posting of the leaked UK documents, as well as insights into how adversaries are adapting their tactics".

In its post, Reddit said: "We investigated this account and the accounts connected to it, and today we believe this was part of a campaign that has been reported as originating from Russia."

"Suspect accounts on Reddit were recently reported to us, along with indicators from law enforcement, and we were able to confirm that they did indeed show a pattern of coordination," the post continued.

The company also said the suspended accounts participated in vote manipulation but that "none of these accounts or posts received much attention on the platform."

It's Russia's neighbors who fear Russia not the UK or Europe , we have a long history of Cold War interactions.
As I said above I can see why Russia would want Corbyn in charge rather than Johnson.

That's because in your Trumpian world the Russians can do no wrong , in the real world those who know better know better.

....the Russian's are just jealous of our NHS....or maybe not.....
The NHS has needed a major overhaul for years now....not just with their pay structure for those management at the top....but all the way down.
Various parts of the NHS have been quietly sold off to private firms since Blair/Brown days. It is unsustainable the way it is with our ever growing population.
Something has to give.......but none of it means that we will lose the NHS as a 'FREE' service to the public....not one political party would survive that.....

Well I am glad to know about the threat to the NHS-wherever the leak came from or who spreads it.
The NHS is IMO one of the very few good points about the UK,and Nasty Boris should not be trying to amercanize our health care system.
Not that I am a Corbyn fan either,but that is another story.

TBH I don't really get the way the Russian Government/internet army digs dirt on both sides of the political divide here and overseas..
I could understand if they dig dirt on one side,in order to get someone they percieve as better for Russia into office.
But they seem to dish out dirt on all parties-whats the plan?

Is it jsut that they wish to see other countries politically divided to impede progress,or to take the spotlight off their own internal issues?
Is it more for domestic purposes-or are they trying to make other countries seem more divided in order to give the russian government more power on the world stage?
Or all of the above?

I am not sure their strategy is very effective,we and other countries seem to be divided over many things without the help of the Russian internet army.

To me they just seem like the nasty kid at school who loves to tell tales just for the satisfaction of seeing some other kid get reprimanded.
And that is pretty damned pathetic behaviour for a large global actor IMO.

If anyone has any more insight into the reasons behind Russias meddling-please enlighten me,because I can't make much sense of it.

think its more the Russian army has been deeply underfunded,their navy rusting away and their airforce mostly a paper tiger to the real powerful nations on the planet not to say that an invasion of russia would tend to go well or anything but they are far from the threat they were during the cold war when they had the soviet bloc at their backs to swell their ranks and close to what 20-40k nukes? putin is a shady bastard who is basically ruler for life in russia but even he is getting older and wont be around for ever ,say compared to china's leader who is younger and got appointed leader for life basically and who's military is rapidly growing and compared to russia vastly more well funded
