When you see the box of Mass Effect you will assume it is a harmless game about a soldier who saves the world but things are much deeper that that!

They’re games. Andromeda was crap, but they’re still just games.

Well, aren't those interesting thoughts. I've played through all four games 3-6 times. LOVED that series.

I don't think it was so much pro-life as anti-genocide.

See bold. If you play RL, I think there is the same message. Some things just are... irrespective of politics.

That said, I am sure games have been used to push an agenda or propaganda. Whether that is directed by the govt, or just a large corp with an opinion...who knows. To push the govt/military conspiracy, the target audience may not always be the US even if it looks like it.

Well Mass Effect would be a bad choice, because there are numerous players like myself who have played them multiple times and chose different options which change the endings.

I do not think media as a general rule is a harbringer for things to come.

Remember the division? People said that was a tool for training government sleeper paramilitary death squads, but i played it and *watch lights up*, oh... sorry guys, got to go.

On a more serious note:
The world came together as Element 0 and the Mass Effect Relay was discovered. Now humans could travel across the galaxy and war with others.
The world stayed together as the First Encounter War with the Turians as they kicked royal a__ in just 3 months. If not for the Citadel stepping in , there would have been no humans left.

What do you think of Starship Troopers and their future Socialist Society ?
Was Heinlein predicting a future society ?
