Dave Merritt, father of 25-year-old Jack, said his son would be "livid" at "his death, and his life, being used to perpetuate an agenda of hate that he gave his everything fighting against".

"What Jack would want from this is for all of us to walk through the door he has booted down, in his black Doc Martens," Mr Merritt wrote in a memorial piece for The Guardian.

"That door opens up a world where we do not lock up and throw away the key.
"Where we do not give indeterminate sentences, or convict people on joint enterprise.

"Where we do not slash prison budgets, and where we focus on rehabilitation not revenge.
"Where we do not consistently undermine our public services, the lifeline of our nation.
"Jack believed in the inherent goodness of humanity, and felt a deep social responsibility to protect that."
Yesterday, Mr Merritt tweeted a plea in response to newspapers reporting that the prime minister was pledging a "blitz on freed jihads". "Don't use my son's death, and his and his colleague's photos - to promote your vile propaganda," he wrote. "Jack stood against everything you stand for - hatred, division, ignorance."

Liberals always claim that the right uses the agenda of hate and yet there are some religions that just don't integrate into Western Society very well and that is a fact.
These Liberals who think that they can crave out a multiculturalism utopia are living in a fantasy. Just how many more innocent western lives, civilians would have to be lost until finally the Liberals realize and wake up and see where this is going?

I hate to say this but if that was his sons views than nothing of value was lost! His son chose his ideology over his well-being and it cost him his life. How extremely strange! I bet if his son was killed by a gun that guy would be blaming the gun and not the person who shot his kid but due to his idealistic viewpoint can’t draw the conclusion that the lack laws pertaining to violent Muslim “known terrorist” and light prison sentences might be the issue that killed his boy.

Reminds me of the story where a girl was raped and killed by an illegal alien. They asked the father about it and he said something like “what can we do about it I’m not racist I like tacos”. Than the girls family proceeded to adopt a Latino child. Their daughter had Facebook posts before her death mocking people who had been agaisnt illegal immigration and calling people racist.

Or those two sex tourist girls who got beheaded holding welcome refugees signs before they traveled to some Muslim country.

These people literally asked for it so nothing of value was lost.

Well that was not nice of that adopted daughter what she did on her social media posting because things can easily make blow backs on them as well.

You first are then adopted into the family with privilege and then such person mock other people were simply being agaisnt illegal immigration?

I do! How was his son valuable? This is what he wanted and believed in and his ideology cost him his life “virtue signaling to the max”! The father probably indoctrinated him to have these beliefs and it’s more important that Muslim “terrorist” this guy was literally a “terrorist” get light jail sentences than having his son around.

This is a different case than say someone’s kid dying by a school shooting and the parents not wanting to take away guns from people because they believe in the 2nd amendment and don’t want their kids death used as an agenda. The blame doesn’t reside in the gun but the person and maybe the school shooters parents and the school for not noticing he was turning into a monster.

However with the bridge killer case. They let out a guy who was a known terrorist! They guy traveled to another country and trained with terrorist! He had a history of violence. He had a history of religious extremism.Letting him out is directly the government fault. You only let out people who no longer pose a threat to society this guy clearly did! If he had a longer jail sentence the son would still be alive

This is literal stupidity! Johnson is using this as an example to show the need for stronger sentencing on known terrorist. Hurrr dur good for the father not allowing his sons death to be used as a political weapon!virtue signal much! His sons death is the direct result of what Johnson is fighting against. We have two different points of view here Mr. User. Johnson's and the father's. I can understand Johnson's position and I can understand the father's . As well, I appreciated the position you were expressing above until I came to this part.

No but i understand what the user was trying to post and say in example in Sweden, there are reports where gov agents actually follow you and monitor what you say on your social media posts should you be agaisnt the immigration system you could lose your job.

Thank you Chief. I understood that as well. I have for most of my life now. $hit is closing in on us. Those who would control us and keep us from realizing our own dreams are all round us. And I understand some peoples urgency in attempting to get this message across to those they think do not understand it. But using a hyperbolic tool like a butter knife is not going to open anyones eyes to the threat we face. Especially after having grouped someone into a stereotypical catagory like

In line with that above I can sympathize with that father. Likely , that father sees that Johnson is a self serving power hungry type who will use anyone he can to further the agenda of his own power and does not want his son to be a tool in that that struggle for personal freedom.
