Nah.. Trump just scared him into submission with the threat of total destruction of his little kingdom. You know Trump, he has a way with putting little punks in their place. Good point. Kim can't vote here. If Kim Jong-Un cared about having "a voice" in American politics, he would resume saying bad things about President Trump.

When he called Trump a "Dotard", he was the darling of 90% of U.S. media and Democrats.

But since they're now buddies, that's unlikely to happen.

They love him, but were also praying that Kimmy would bomb South Korea or Japan, so we'd come to the rescue. Trump would have the blood of thousands on his hands. Never-Trumper Dems/Repubs would have loved that. In their minds, the deaths would have been worth damaging President Trump. That is still their #1 priority in life.

I can't answer for him but when he was insulting Trump I thought things are as they should be.

The US and NK should be opposed to each other. The talk of peace and unification that came later was a pipe dream not just because of NK, but because it is not in the interest of SK.

If SK and NK unified it would destroy the financial stability of SK. It would be like if the US suddenly united with Honduras or Mexico. All those people suddenly on the government dime would be devastating. SK talks the game to the populace about unification, but it is talk nothing more. They could have taken NK a long time ago just based on technical superiority.
