Seriously, I am trying to come to terms with how an active member of the United States Army (an officer at that!) is even eligible to be considered for a cabinet level position in another country. How would that have worked out?

Yeah, you would think they would go after some kind of General or something from their own area, if not a General, at least a Colonel. Really, a Lt. Col. is not a high rank in the US military. I think we all know the reason that Vindman was really asked to fill this job. Its because the Ukranians know that Vindman is someone who will play ball with them, and someone who will give them an inside man into the Swamp, so to speak. They would know Vindman is on the same team as the Yovanovitchs and Chalupas of the world. All in all it is a very very odd request.

Tim Morrison close door impeachment hearing testimony

Tim Morrison is testifying tomorrow, but here are a few comments from his closed-door testimony:



(1) VIndman reported his concerns to the National Security Council without informing TM (his direct supervisor). TM calls it unfortunate but not unusual, based on past management styles.
TM was not concerned that anything illegal was discussed on POTUS call. (pg 88-90)


(2) Lt Colonel Vindman complained about not being allowed on some calls with Amb Taylor.
TM mentioned a few reasons: subject matter of the call, protection of his team & concerns
about Lt Colonel Vindman's judgment.


Dr. Hill (former leader) and others in the team raised concerns with TM about Vindman’s judgment.

Vindman is a loose cannon. At the very least, he needs to be released from active duty for the good of the service.

FBI investigating possibility of 'criminal enterprise' in Jeffrey Epstein death, prisons chief admits

FBI investigators probing the death of Jeffrey Epstein are looking into whether a "criminal enterprise" may have played a role, the Bureau of Prisons’ director revealed Tuesday during testimony on Capitol Hill.

Kathleen Hawk Sawyer made the admission during a line of questioning involving Sen. Lindsay Graham, in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

When Graham asked Sawyer how such a death like Epstein's could have happened, she said "the whole situation is still under the investigation of the FBI and the Inspector General’s office and I’m really not at liberty to discuss specifics of this case.

Graham didn't seem pleased with her response.

JA is held on the single count of not appearing at his hearing.

Ordinarily, he would catch the charge and sentenced, then released shortly thereafter. However, the US has an extradition request in place, kind of like an ICE hold. So he can fight extradition, but likely will just end up in the hands of US govt upon release.
