Around 2000 the market for WWII collectibles bottomed-out with items emerging from private holdings faster than they were bought up. I've been in the market for an Enigma Machine for about 10 years, but the few cheap ones dried up pretty fast.

That looks like an interesting conversational piece at the coffee table.
Back during Desert Storm I had to change out the crypto every 12 hours by feeding paper tape into one of these cipher machines. I hated doing it because sometimes it wouldn't take the tape and to make matters worse the Captain would be breathing over my shoulder asking WTF is the problem. Talk about pissing pants. Good times!
