I think you're correct on that. Many media outlets seem to draw various photo's regardless of when they were taken from whatever they have on hand or from a pool (ex. syndicated images or GettyImages) to fit their story/narrative they want to push. As many folks are drawn to the headline image/photo with accompany text headline and not even read the article or at least the first paragraph.

For reference, I make it 77 tweets by POTUS on Dec 11th.

Prime minister Boris Johnson has just been shown on BBC news leaving his voting station with his dog on a red lead with white spots. The dog was also wearing a green "cowboy hankerchief" around it's neck.

Firstly, I want to make clear that I have NO axe to grind against Judaism - I'm only interested in the reasoning behind the Q/POTUS actions in this process!


1) If restrictions were put on dual nationality in government then Dual nationality Israeli/US members of congress could not be removed for this if they just dropped israeli citizenship - does declaring Judaism a nationality block off this get-out?

2) Extrapolating - if laws were introduced to restrict entry of dual-nationals to the US government then would this now effectively stop anyone Judaic from being in US government?

3) You can go to war against a nation but not a religion?


To repeat, I'm trying to understand the real reason this action was taken - NOT stir up any divisions.

Rel, I am confused by the use of 'nationality' in tandem with Judaism per the quote you provided.

Sure, Israel is a sovereign state and Judaism is a big part of its identity. But that applies within the borders of Israel.

I would guess that certain ethnic groups are the majority in Israel. But different ethnic groups make up Judaism, so I can't see 'nationality' in this case meaning a 'nation of people' in the sense of 'the Han nation' to mean a large ethnic group in China.

The dual-nationality [citizenship] of some government personnel is IMO a serious problem. My take is, if they want to hold dual nationality, they can't be in formal positions of power and authority over American citizens. Nothing specific about Israel in this case, to me it is just a blatant conflict of interest and loyalties.

In terms of declaration of war, I'd say your assertion is correct. But as it happens on the ground, I would say no. The Nazis waged war against Judaism as part of their overarching doctrine. And I would guess that the Islamic terrorists are more about killing Jewish people than formally waging war with the state of Israel.

ETA Trump's Executive Order

Looking at the EO itself, it seems intended to give Title VI protection to believers in Judaism. Lance is much better qualified to comment on what this implies, but this probably threatens, among other things, a yanking of federal funding for institutions that are found in violation of Title VI. The academic crowd in the USA will look upon this EO in horror is my guess.

We can't fault her sincere belief that her generation will suffer disaster from the Earth changes evil man "has done to us all". She just needs to be taught the truth and shown how to challenge/test/Quality Assure data so she can see the falsified data. I think she will hear both sides in debates now, and then one day she will see she was used.
