We will see what we will see. If it is a sham it will be a sham played out for us on, apparently, all networks and this includes at least the BBC. Here's hoping that there can at least be some level of consensus on how it is done.

That's Democratic Democracy and Justice. I've heard multiple Congressional leaders say Trump must PROVE HE IS INNOCENT.

....... Thought it was the other way around.

The evidence mounting against him is fairly damning. He needs to put on a decent defense.

As soon as he can face and question his accusers....

This is still 2 days away, by then this thread will be buried.

I like the optimism, but any thread that would garner the bulk of the discussion will be front and center on the day of.

Just don't be all bitchy about it when someone else starts and thread and everyone floods into it during the real time airing of the proposed discussion.

When the articles of Impeachment are crafted, after the closed door and public hearings, when the issues go to trial in the Senate, the president will need to put on decent defense.

This will be fun to watch, historical.

Impeachment has been a long time coming(since day one, even before, trump was sworn in).

We've all known it was coming, we just have been waiting for the dems to find the "reason" to actually try and push it through.

I, for one, always knew that although there was a presumption of guilt before facts, the facts were surely there, because there was no doubt in many of us that the man with a blended tone of red and yellow is in fact very very bad.

Senate already said they will not even take it up and automatically dismiss it. there is his defense.

Hopefully there with be serious cross questioning from both parties. Even as I have my own hopes for these hearings it would be a great disappointment to me if Republicans are short shifted in the process.

You guys seem to forget that the Chief Justice will be officiating the Impeachment hearing in the Senate.

The charges will be heard, the evidence will be presented, and there will be a vote. But if you think John Roberts is going to let Mitch and Lindsey trample the Constitution again, I think you have another thing coming.

They will either do their Constitutional duty this time or we are truly in a Constitutional crisis.

Democrat leaders are all guilty of some criminal act. They can't believe President Trump hasn't done the same things they have done. Plus, they're depressed that Sanders or Warren or Biden is the best their "grand old party" could come up with!

This was driving the "panel of experts" on CNN crazy today! Loved listening to them beg Republican Senators to not be "Trumps puppets" like their U.S. House counterparts.
