It still sucks and is a great example of a communist/socialist model though.

Yea, and we still enable it while knowing it's bad for our economy while we do it.

But, this has been going on for some time.

That's what they call them now.

Seriously? You talk as if China and all these other western countries are angels! Don't be a hypocrite! Where was the justice for the illegal wars and invasions of Libya and Iraq where millions of innocent people have died.

Where is the justice when it comes to Yemen, with the West providing weapons to murders thousands of innocent people?

Why do people turn a blind eye to these horror, but then believe BS stories like this?

Because I didn't mention it means I'm denying it? The OP was asking about China and the concentration camps and I was replying to that. I'm against all of what you just posted. I was against the illegal wars and the UK following the US into a war that was clearly not needed and was more about removing a country leader they did not like anymore rather than helping and saving the population of that country. If you cannot disagree or argue what I put up don't do what politicians do and try to bring up something else up attempting to make me look bad when you have no clue what my stance is on the subjects you bring up. Deflection isn't an art form its a lack of debate.

My points about China stand. Keep on point it makes you me and the whole debate more prosperous.

You guys really like to exaggerate the Mao thing. First of all it wasn't tens of millions it was 2 to 3 million. Secondly it wasn't intentional. He tried new agriculture mehods and it failed miserably. A terrible tragedy but Mao cannot be compared to other killers. # the USA killed 3 million Vietnamese people but nobody bats an eye.

I think your number fits closer to the civil war itself.

This thread is about China, not the US... Again, I've been critical of the US foreign policy, hell, here's a thread I did on our recent foreign policy.

I find it ironic people keep acting like being critical of China equates to drinking the kool aid of the US. I'm critical of both and rather consistent.

So, let me ask you. Is it not fair to criticize China, their decades of political imprisonment, force labor, torture, and organ harvesting just because I'm American? Can I say we have our own problems, but I'd still rather live here hand over fist purely because I have the freedom to criticize my government?

Absolutely you can be critical as you should. But the whole Mao is a mass murderer thing isn't quite so cut and dry was my main point. Horrible what's happening there.

WRONG

It IS that cut and dry:
"Who was the biggest mass murderer in the history of the world? Most people probably assume that the answer is Adolf Hitler, architect of the Holocaust. Others might guess Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, who may indeed have managed to kill even more innocent people than Hitler did, many of them as part of a terror famine that likely took more lives than the Holocaust. But both Hitler and Stalin were outdone by Mao Zedong. From 1958 to 1962, his Great Leap Forward policy led to the deaths of up to 45 million people – easily making it the biggest episode of mass murder ever recorded."

The source is Daily Mail, but my personal opinion is that these photos are real considering the situation we're already aware of and the brutality of the Chinese government.

Real and Daily Fail should not be in the same sentence

All the more reason to not let Chinese govt off the hook in messing with us. The PTB have created a Superstate which everyone needs so they would be less likely to boycott or sanction. America needs to get strong again.

Some of these victims look like they have full-blown, or final stage AIDS.

In fact, I first checked out some images of AIDS hospices in Thailand and so forth.
southeastasiaglobe.com...
(Not posting the most graphic clips and images.)

Some images are very similar, but not the same photos.

But then again China has had its own blood-plasma and mass infection scandals, and political prisoners are known to be subjected to forced cornea and other organ "donations" and one assumes unsafe injections, and they probably don't get any treatment for HIV once infected.

So it could be both (HIV and victims of political torture and imprisonment).

What do you think we should do?

Ban any American company from doing business in China.

Like we use to.

Yeah and watch prices go up and businesses go out of business. Unless you think Americans will work for the same money as the chinese do. Wages go up, products go up!

I think the slogan has metastasize to "Keep America Great".

It would probably depend on who you ask all the same.

"Greatness is a concept of a state of superiority affecting a person or object in a particular place or area. Greatness can also be attributed to individuals who possess a natural ability to be better than all others."

American politicians are fond of telling their audiences that the United States is the greatest country in the world. The evidence and statistics, however, paint a very different picture, with regards to certain aspects of your society and way of life.

My own nation suffers from a similar dilemma.

If the Daily Mail were the only one passing on these stories you might have had a point...but it's not. Not even remotely.

This is nothing new, and the rest of the world has allowed it to happen, since the Revolution that brought Mao and the rest of them to power this has been happening. Reports have surfaced, "oh so sad" was said, and then promptly ignored.

Tibet. Provinces in western China. Religious crackdowns against both Christian and Muslim, as well as others such as Buddhism, and Falon Gong (sp?).

Even Hong Kong is feeling the brunt of crack downs.

Exactly!

Put our money where our mouths are. If we demand divestiture from Israel, and South Africa...why is China exempt??
