Trolling why am I trolling my own thread you cut me to the
quick. I was just joking hoping everyone else would lighten up.
sheesh! Whatever

I for one am glad you reached out although I must say that I sometimes enjoy a bit of argy bargy and banter. People take this site and themselves too seriously sometimes.
Hope to see you on another thread where we can argue about God and stuff!

If you don't mind me asking do you prescribe to any particular religion?

I've read many of the texts of the major religions, and also some of the minor beliefs as well. I've kept science in my left hand so I could relate the truths I found in various spiritual texts to the literalist of this day. The Christian philosophy has most resonated with me, especially given that I logically see how Jesus was the first embodiment of the Logos.

i ask for help and guidance and somehow that little voice in my head knows what to do.

Yeah the internal guidance is undeniable. The external books and sources further validate what naturally arises within when we're looking for answers.

No-one can deny we are a product of the universe and all things are connected at some level.

Our individual imagination and collective consciousness are just expressions of the universe. Along with everything else in the grand scheme, all of our achievements and advancements are 100% attributed to the cosmos, including every atom in our body.

Science can help us understand our perceptions but the universe will always hold secrets, after-all it includes everything, including our notion of God.

One of these secrets is the human soul, the problem mathematics dare not challenge!

Also, if consciousness exists in this realm and could be explained by science, wouldn't that make those thoughts a part of reality? A complex structure that we have little mathematical understanding of, if science can explain everything then do thoughts actually exist and in the dimensions we are aware of? We could measure a subjects brain activity and extrapolate the pattern to form an equation for our exact mental picture of God. Show a natural biological entity creating a God in their mind, will this prove anything i wonder?

Haven't had time to watch Godfather in years so that might be on the playlist.

I watched the Irishman, felt it was quite morbid for the last 30 mins although on reflection it was a poignant close to a good movie. I felt it was a movie about morality then drifted to mortality, told by an engaging story but still somewhat sombre.

It'll be Home Alone on Boxing day with my little lad, i don't think he would appreciate The Great Escape, that might be Dad's time with a bottle of Lagavulin after he's in bed.

Even if you don't believe in Jesus you have to admit he brought some good to the world. Every year we get to drop everything, sit with family, have a few drinks and laughs, treat our children, play games and watch old movies. All thanks to a man who existed 2000 years ago and changed the world from scratch, effecting everything since his ascension till this day.

I'd say if science could measure all the good aspects of human nature, Christmas day would be a real contender for day of the year.

Hope you have a good one mate.

I'm glad you finally 'see the light'!

Those who understand the truth can lead others towards the truth. Whether they choose to find, and accept, the truth, or choose to ignore it, out of fears and insecurities... is entirely up to each and every one of us, in the end.

The Bible is our guide to the truth, as you know.

Well I'm not sold on the whole flat earth thang but what do you
think might be causing the moons illumination?

I think it is the moon itself that causes the illumination, much like the Sun and stars illuminate themselves. The Bible claims God created the Sun, moon and stars as lights in the heavens, and that's what I believe to be true, as well.

Only God created these lights, only God knows how to create them, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Just by observing the Sun and moon in daylight skies, alongside each other, both illuminated, proves they are both ight sources. Science cannot demonstrate how this is possible, and never will, because they refuse to accept that the moon is a light source. They cannot, because to do so, would destroy their entire argument, and they know that.

I challenge anyone out there to show how the moon can reflect sunlight to Earth, in such a scenario. I've never seen anyone demonstrate this, for obvious reasons - it is impossible to demonstrate it.

Knowing this cannot be done, how can anyone still believe the moon is NOT a light source?

I have learned so much from this thread form everybody here but
that right there is really something. It also says they are there as
signs for us. You got my attention I have to say.

You gotta admit it is fascinating.

I do have one question tho, why does the moon go dark during an eclipse?

Edit: because theres no reflected light... said light is directly behind so you will see a faded moon... which is the light reflected from the earth

Damn phone..

The thing is the moon is a lite source whether or not it is
self illuminated or just reflecting lite it is a lite in the sky.
So it isn't like the Bible fails if the moon isn't self illuminated.
It's still what the Bible says it is.

This is true... the bible doesn't specify

Though back in those times i would assume the people probably thought it has its own light... just as once people thought it was made of green cheese lol
