Kathleen Dehmlow (Schunk) was born on March 19, 1938 to Joseph and Gertrude Schunk of Wabasso. She married Dennis Dehmlow at St. Anne's in Wabasso in 1957 and had two children Gina and Jay. In 1962 she became pregnant by her husband’s brother Lyle Dehmlow and moved to California. She abandoned her children, Gina and Jay who were then raised by her parents in Clements, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schunk. She passed away on May 31, 2018 in Springfield and will not face judgement. She will not be missed by Gina and Jay, and they understand that this world is a better place without her.

My x husband's family hate my guts because my testimony sent him to jail the third and final time.
Two of my kids still think I am the bad person for it.
He was a nice guy in that he never beat me into a coma when I was pregnant... for the children, of course.
Two sides to a story... I wonder what her real story was?

Well we do know she got knocked up by the brother in law so there's that. Probably hard to face the previous family with that kind of shame...I mean how often do abused women sleep with the husbands brother...if someone beat me sleeping with a direct family member would make me worried they'd find out and beat me so I doubt it was that.
