I never cared much for horror movies...
Just not my thing.
At least the supernatural kill everyone but the Virgin type.

But a few were pretty good...

The evil dead 1 and 2 and army of darkness...

American werewolf in London.

Now sci fi horror has some great ones.

Alien.
The thing...1981

Yes, I met the producer for Alien back
in the day.
"The thing" is one of my all time favorites :
This version... m.imdb.com...

We were trying to keep the list to classic horror,
but I had to toss in Lifeforce. If you like SciFi horror
then you know.

www.imdb.com... Killer.

Yes... look at the Director's name.

Starred in it, directed it, wrote it, paid for it.

Just like Bad Taste.

Later he directed Lord of The Rings.

The "kick ass for Jesus" leg sweep scene is almost as good as the lawnmower kill the zombies scene.

I like my horror movies with extra cheese.

I was living in Southern California
when "The Exorcist" came out.

A lot of really bad things happened
out there.

I refrain from viewing that movie
to this day.

Fun fact... in the first "Alien" movie when the alien comes out of his chest?

Nobody told the actors/actresses THAT was going to happen.

So the emotions you see on their faces are quite real.

They got pranked by the director.

The woman screaming Oh GOD later sued for emotional damage. (Lambert)

The best comedic horror films for the season are, the above mentioned, Shaun of the dead and of course....Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

Classics.
