The same rules that allow them to sit also allow America to have a seat. If the rules were stricter things like Guantanamo bay extraordinary rendition and family separation would bar is partisipation.

I don't know much about the United nations... Maybe someone can educate me. My thoughts have been that they have not accomplished too much, but like to keep a shiny facade to justify their existence.

Al Gharib. Guantanamo Bay. The separation of the children of asylum seekers and immigrants both legal and illegal, from their families. US gunships strafing and killing random citizens of foreign nations and then strafing those who came to their aid. Cover-ups of killers and military despots. Government sponsored drug running. Assasinations. Secret 'renditions'. Drone strikes. Dragnet surveillance. Labor trafficking and overuse of solitary confinement in its prisons.
