The president has a complete 'meltdown' today following a Congressional vote

The House voted today, 354-60, to condemn Trump's actions in Syria and to oppose the now nearly full retreat of US forces from Syria. It is now reported that there are 28 American soldiers remaining in Syria, down from a 1,000 a week ago.

The president is reported to have been 'visibly shaken' after he was surprised that he was losing support of the House republicans, and went into a full meltdown. The House democrats left the White House meeting on Syria after the president started calling legislators names and refused to discuss any facts with the bipartisan legislators.

"“He was insulting, particularly to the speaker. He called her a ‘third-rate politician,'" said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. "This was not a dialogue, it was sort of a diatribe."

Pelosi said Trump was “shaken up” by having lost most Republicans in a Wednesday vote condemning Trump's decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria,

“What we witnessed on the part of the president was a meltdown, sad to say," Pelosi said.

The move came soon after the House overwhelmingly passed bipartisan resolution condemning Trump's decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, all but clearing the way for Turkey to invade territory held by the U.S.-allied Kurds.

Trump has been defending his plan to retreat and open up the territory to the Turks and the Russians saying that Syria was 7,000 miles away from us and that we just didn't belong there, completely oblivious to the alliance we have had in the fight against ISIS and the thousands of lives our allies have given in the protection of our national interests.

There is one thing that nobody has been bringing up as the president's mental health continues to deteriorate:

The president CAN be removed from office under the 25th amendment if the president is unfit to serve the office. Being mentally unfit would be covered by this amendment.

My questions is - could pleading insanity be a possible solution for the president to avoid criminal charges? Would being removed as mentally unfit actually be a new Strategy to protect the president? Embarrassing yes, but if it avoids prison time, why not?

Could this be the ever evolving and mysterious Strategy?

Who exactly do these 354 politicians represent? Perhaps you should move to another country if you want representation in that country.

If so many representatives want the US military involved in Syria, then they should vote to declare war.

Simple.

I'll explain, maybe you are not American.

The US House of Representatives has 435 members. I think we actually have 434 right now, but I could be wrong.

Those 354 are all Americans, and have been democratically elected by Americans. The sheer fact that 354 voted to oppose the president tells us that 354 out of 435 is an ENORMOUS majority, and they speak for the people that elected them.

Irrespective of whether you are an American or not, ask away, I will be happy to educate you on how our democratic system works.

It constantly surprises me as to just how utterly inept Trump is. He throws the Kurds under the nearest bus after a single conversation with the nasty piece of work who currently runs Turkey and then he acts all surprised when no-one believes his statement that the Kurds are now perfectly safe?
The Kurds were the backbone of the anti-ISIS forces in the area. ISIS is not 100% defeated. They were just repressed. Things are not going to go well in this area now.
But hey, it's fine, Trump has a promise from Erdogan. Wait, now he's sent him a nasty letter. I'm a bit confused.

Yes. They could have boots on the ground in days if they wanted to.

All they have to do is vote to declare war on Syria.

One of the amusing things these ignorant leftist don't realize is that nobody takes the 25th seriously enough to do so.

Every time it's brought up, I can't help but laugh at the desperation.

Nohody brings it up and for good reason, there isn't anything there to merit a discussion even remotely close to the 25th. Just because YOU think so, doesn't make it so in the overall consensus.

Furthermore, all this was from the House was a finger wag and nothing more.

You got nothing.

Do we have a list of those house members that voted and the direction they voted? Just curious.

I don't understand. If they want us at war all they have to do is declare it. The president is not the one who declares war, congress is. Duh, you would think they would know that.

I agree why does this vote even matter. Declare war on turkey and send our troops in to invade northern Syria. Why does both sides want war so badly?
