The coming civil war and how it might happen

I've spent some time on this, looking at how divided our nation actually is.

Many would point to the 60's as an indication of how bad it got with no civil war.

I think the divide will get worse. We have political figures on all sides making outrageous statements and accusations. They will only feed the fires of unrest.


We used to have different ideas about how to achieve the same goals, but what's changed is that we now have different goals, which only furthers the growing divide.

Regardless, it's going to be ugly and much worse than it is now.

Just a dream man. Even antifa hasn't caused enough ruckus to warrent a serious national threat.

Myself, and many other Americans dislike trump, but won't riot against him. If impeachment fails, i think trump will win again. Democrats really suck
However, trump keeps saying and doing questionable things. Asking Ukraine to investigate biden and ditching the kurds without proper peace talks or help was the last straw for alot of Americans in their belief that trump has America in mind.

Why are so many here stating that a civil war is coming like it was a foregone conclusion?

I don't see that happening unless some huge economic aspect is threatened by the instigating political and ideological factions. There has to be a clear winner with spoils of war and a loser for that level of violence to break out.

Maybe it could get bad if the socialist democrats tried to get complete control, renounce the constitution and destroy the capitalist economy. I think it will remain political with opposing groups using legal, non-violent means to resist extreme socialism.

You would have to agree that maybe not civil war, but something is definitely going on and it seems to be building.

Seems obtuse. The left doesn't have the guns necessary to do something like this nor do they have the mindset. Sure you have antifa but not in any meaningful numbers and even then it's property damage and general chaos. Seems much more likely the maga crowd would kick it off as they are better armed and their mindsets float around god and country. The far right is much more of the organized compound dwelling armed overthrow group then the far left is.
Either way it wouldn't be Democrats or Republicans just the nut jobs in either group.

Great conflicts tend to usually start over something small and then escalate to a point where things get out of control. If a civil war starts I would guess it would begin with protesters at a rally- maybe some place like Portland where local government has ordered the police to step down and not to interfere. Somebody (maybe an extremist member of Antifa or maybe someone from a Supremacist group, it could go either way) physically attacks an innocent bystander and someone from opposing group attacks back, others join in creating a free for all. Innocents are seriously injured and/or killed and it is all on live broadcast. It becomes a serious riot situation and the police to nothing to squash it- and the whole media is broadcasting live. Next thing you know cars, businesses and then homes start being destroyed, fires rage everywhere and people are bleeding in the streets with the police still doing nothing.

Average Joes who are watching this on live stream see people they personally know who are being seriously injured and whose livelihoods and homes are being destroyed with police just idly standing by say "Enough!" call their hunting buddies and cousins, nephews, etc. They load up in trucks armed to the teeth and with righteous indignation and head into the melee to "do something about it". They arrive with a "shoot first, ask questions later" strategy.

As the Average Joes start "cleaning house" the state governor- who is up for re-election- decides to override local government and orders in the National Guard, ordering local police to "do their damned jobs" until they get there. Police start shooting at the Average Joes and they retaliate with deaths occurring on both sides as the original rioters run away as pipes and clubs have no place in a fire fight. The National Guard arrives to a scene of chaos and only knows that they see armed citizens shooting police officers so they take the side of the police (as ordered) and start shooting at the Average Joes killing many, apprehending the rest- all while the world watches live.

Friends, family, neighbors and patriots riot outside of the holding facility. Anger is the flavor of the day as the Joes were only trying to protect the people. It starts to get ugly. Shots are fired. And so it begins...

That is MY take on how a Civil War could begin in the old USA, not with something major but with something small that escalates out of control. If anyone were to be be honestly blamed for it I would blame the media because they have intentionally whipped everyone's emotions up to the point where something similar could actually happen.

I remember how the right was never going to let Obama live for his full two terms because they just couldn't stand to let a black man be president for 4 years, let alone 8!

And yet, it happened.

Now it's the democrats who can't seem to stand to let a mere Republican govern for 4 years. Perish the thought that he might get elected to a second term ... I guess they can't stand the idea of being governed by an old white man ... unless he's one of them like Bernie or Biden.

As long as everyone follows the rules, and either posts the appropriate "I'm with her" and "Obama/Biden 2004" stickers on their car, and have the over slept look, with a pumpkin spice Latte, and a stupid hat, or have the NRA or Trump stickers on their vehicles. As always the MAGA hat is appreciated, both for sentiment and identification.

Perhaps if the left formed columns three deep and took turns firing. Yes, I think this will work.

After Election Day Donald trump has won again. The democrats are livid, russia gate failed, impeachment failed, whistleblowers failed, the media failed. These rioters start to attack anyone who they think might of voted for trump anyone white. New York and Los Angeles are riot central. The left pleads with trump to step down to stop the violence “trump tells them he doesn’t negotiate with terrorist and traitors” and he won’t take advice from the people who helped cause this.

The left says in in effort to keep the peace will no longer follow federal law.

If it was going to happen that’s how I see it going down I might not even require trump to get shot. But I do see the media causing rioters, it happened last time and I suspect people might get more than hurt going to trump rallies now.
