She actually is mentally ill. She's been diagnosed with a couple of what are generally called mental disorders - selective mutism and obsessive compulsive disorder. I mean the one even has it in the name -- disorder.

And that's not even addressing her autism which is in a different category of mental impairment.

What's your point? Are you saying that people eith these conditions cannot function in society? Thst they should not have a say in things?

This is not the 18th century anymore you know! We do not lock these people up anymore, and they can function in society! You are aware of that?

Shes awarded some kids award , gonna be handed over to her in The Hague Netherlands.

Bet shes gonna fly , like they fly her across the world to tell people to stop flying cause it ruined her life.

She does not fly! Maybe do some research before you make stupid remarks!

She also doesn't pay her way around the globe. She uses "friends"

How a 16byear old supposed to pay her own way lol Seriously! Stop being silly!

She built her boat out of paper tree bark and her solar panels out of sand she melted with her glare?

And she paid the crew to fly across the planet to row it back with kindness and good intentions.

Oh come on! You think theceork she is doing she is not getting help from supporters, or not being funded by people or organisations.

Seriously! Use a bit of logic!

Its not BS. It is my belief that she and David Hogg will end up appearing together as the face of the NWO for a new generation. As for her statements, that has been covered already. She is just a kid. I contend she is a victim of her own parents who are using her to further their own agenda. She is far too rabid and adamant in her opinions. Its not natural. But, if she is being coached by mommy and daddy, her behaviour and over the top anger are perfectly explainable.

Are you going to offer something relevant? Or just try to shoot down my opinion with your own...

You said it's not BS, then started the next sentence with "it's my belief" lol So yes, it's BS eith no evidence!

BS is a lie. This is not a lie. It is thread regarding a conspiracy theory. The operative word there is theory. If there was proof it wouldn't be a theory now would it?

You really need to get over yourself and start thinking again.

Perhaps that is why I would not take a CO2 seeing child with mental health issues seriously and putting her on a pedastal is just disturbing. But then again the psychedelic drug pusher co founder of Extinction Rebellion certainly has their cult members as well.

Looks like the Ethiopian PM won the Peace Prize.

BBC

The 2019 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed who made peace last year with bitter foe Eritrea.

He was awarded the prize for his efforts to "achieve peace and international cooperation".

Mr Abiy's peace deal with Eritrea ended a 20-year military stalemate following their 1998-2000 border war.

Cheers

Nope. I'm just pointing out that you're running down people calling her mentally ill as if she isn't when she does actually have a couple of actual mental disorders which would actually make her mentally ill.

I'm sorry if the truth offends here, but she does have a couple of mental illnesses so when people call her mentally ill, it's accurate and not a slur or slam on her person.

It's part of why she's such an effective pawn. Since she has mental illnesses, people jump to her defense because it's an emotional response. It has nothing at all to do with the veracity of or actual virtue of what she's crusading for. It evokes a pity response.

She could be campaigning for cannibalism and you'd feel bad for her because you know she has issues. Of course, cannibalism is taboo enough you wouldn't be defending it along with her, but you'd be wanting to pat her on the head and cluck and say, "Bless her heart ..." instead of the far more harsh response you'd give to someone else campaigning for the same thing as passionately as she is.

Yep, and the sad thing is that most media outlets are running it as though Greta was snubbed instead of talking about why he won.

Sad really.

Again! How the hell does her condition stop her from caring about the environment? If you had children with the same conditions, would you stop them doing something they are passionate about?

If the answer is no, then please do not have children!

Mental illness is not just one or two conditions, as you should know. Do please tell me how her conditions effect her from being passionate about the planet?

Are you saying because she has a mental illness, she should not be allowed too?

This is the 21st century for God sake! Stop acting like all mental illness people should not have a voice, or follow their dreams!
I hope you do not have children!

Not everyone is the same. Some people function at a higher level than others. For you to assert you are fully cognisant of her functional capability under any circumstances is complete BS.

You talk about mental illness as if you have extensive experience with it. I believe you do.

There are literally thousands of unique conditions, each of which have varying degrees of effect. In combination they become even more diverse and unique to the individual. Your claims are broad stroke BS. For every so-called functional person you can produce I can produce one that is institutionalised, and for good reason.

You do NOT know this person. You do NOT know the extent of her conditions or her capabilities. As an example, I met a young man once through a friend. He was very much what you would expect from a normal young man, except for one thing. For some reason he simply could not grasp the concept of value. If you told him a stick of gum cost $1000 dollars, he would believe you. If you told him a Ferrari cost 50 cents, he would believe you. Though me may be able to function in a variety of circumstances I would not put him at the cash register in a store. Nor would I send him out to do the weekly shopping. How does your opinion apply to him?

In short, you have no idea what you are talking about yet that does not seem to stop you. Blindly adhering to idiotic narratives will do that to you.

Have a nice diurnal anomaly.

But people are using this against her, even though she shows no signs of this effecting her in what she does. In fact, with her conditions, focusing on something lime this can actually have a huge positive effect, esp with selective mutism, which young people can actually get over.

So, unless your great, and all seeing mind has seen something different, then please share?

But it seems the only people bringing up the BS about her conditions, are the ones who do not like her. Is that a coincidence?

I think not!

You are talking absolute rubbish! And using her conditions against her! Again! Please show me how this is not good for her? Show me how her mental illness is suffering because of what she is doing!

Evidence is not "I met a young man once through a friend"

Please show evidence, and not talk rubbish!

Good grief. I have adult children. We live and work in a oil producing province with a more pragmatic outlook than the fear mongering that is going on here. In my opinion the UN is ramping up its rhetoric after having spent the Climate Fund money ,wanting a refill plus a top up from doner countries and is ,as well, going broke. They reek of desperation and have not raised nearly enough to meet their Agenda 2030 goals either.
They are the ones pushing this agenda and now using children

I made a statement of fact.

She has a couple of mental disorders that qualify as mental illnesses. It is therefore not at all inaccurate to call her mentally ill.

All the rest of this baggage is yours and yours alone. Perhaps you should examine the assumptions you're making about it.
